The O'Neill Public House

First off, best bartenders in Portland. No frills, no BS. They run a smooth set-up. I have been coming here for 9 years. They are good about remembering their regulars and treating them well. However, if you come in here acting like a douche canoe, they aren't going to tolerate it. The menu is great, but not every cook is good. No matter what, the fries and Irish fondue are always on point.

Totally acknowledge that I was in the wrong ordering a Guinness and not knowing its normal serving temp but the bartender took it hard and wouldn't look me in the face after I took it back and ordered a cider. Sorry, bro. This cold cider goes great with fries, though.

Went here to meet a fried ordered a Cadillac not expecting anything too great and was plesently surprised... It was delicious!! And cheap! Live music, cool spot! We'll be back.

This is your average local bar on Portland's east side. Fairly run down, old and well used. Local hangout or a last stop after a night of bar hopping.
