I went to this school from 08-10 and it was by far a great experience for me as a student.
Pros: The majority of my teachers held doctorate degrees in their field, I was challenged by classes for the first time in high school, I was exposed to new cultures via my classmates and their families, I was constantly encouraged to push myself academically by my peers and teachers.
Cons: At the time I did not see a point to most of the rules on campus, the food was not always the most appetizing, a lack of athletic events.
It is worth noting, that the school does host intramural games among students and has their own rowing team. Furthermore, the school sends students to compete in regional and national robotic/chemistry/math competitions.

Rated one of the top schools in the U. S. This school offers college level courses for juniors and seniors in high school. It serves the entire state offering classes not available in most high schools. This opportunity is life changing for motivated high school students.

This place can take students from rural Oklahoma - places that have limited access to basic services - and send them to Ivy League schools. The quality of education and instruction is on par with college level coursework. The dormitories are amply appointed with a free, good tasting, cafeteria. Gone are the days when your only meal was the free lunch and your school couldn't afford textbooks!

This is a top notch school offering courses and other opportunities rural Oklahoma students would never get otherwise. I'm an OSSM alumni (CO2016) and while my experience was tainted by bad administrators, I made incredible friends, developed great study skills, and got to do research at OU as a high school student. I can also say that some of the friends I made went to Ivy League schools, close to full ride, coming from rural schools that would have been happy if they had just gone to community college. Its can be a tough place, but it truly changes lives.

Graduated in 1995. It was 2 of the hardest years of my life but I have no doubts that I was around some of the smartest people in the world, exposed to new thoughts and new ideas on a daily basis which made it all worth it. I know my life would have been less rich without going to OSSM.
