Scott and his team completely saved me from a very stressful move. About 6 weeks before the move, Scott met me at my apartment to help me do an initial decluttering. We measured all of my current furniture, looked at pictures of my new place and discussed where everything would go. One of my big projects was figuring out how to store all of my craft supplies. Scott showed me pictures of different storage ideas and we went to The Container Store to look at storage solutions. Then we had another session at my new place where we planned out where everything would go and finalized decisions on new furniture purchases. He provided recommendations for different furniture and storage products that would help me efficiently store everything. Scott and his team packed me for two days before the move, they handled every single thing the day of the move with movers and DC street permits!, and then they spent about a day and a half unpacking. Scott taught me a wide array of tips and tricks related to decluttering and organizing. Not only did he make my move go smoothly, but he also taught me skills that I will use for a lifetime. I 110% recommend Scott and his team for a move or any project you can dream up. They are a very versatile team with a broad range of skills that will be able to help you on any project you can imagine!
I never like to spend money on something I think I can do myself, after all, I am a smart, well educated, successful person. However, I realized I seek professionals for maintenance and repairs on my home, my health, and why shouldn't I hire a professional for these areas that were so critical to my daily life but which eluded my skill set. I am surely glad I did. Scott is a gifted communicator, with very positive energy, and razor sharp intuition. Like good legal assistance, he provides a dispassionate perspective which allows me the capability to sift through an accumulation of items which had great psychological attachment. I really look forward to each visit. His organizing advice and work ethic, inspire me to continue what I have learned after his departure. I really knew after winter passed and I had not made any significant headway into cleaning out compounded accumulation....thirty year military career, a new business career using my home office, and managing my recently passed parents estate, that I needed assistance and a level of organizing I did not possess. Now, I am completely empowered and feel renewed energy from walking into my now functioning space. I know once Scott helps me compartmentalize the functionalities and choose the right product to replace the inadequate closet shelving, my office will be a place I truly love to go to each morning. Our sessions are ongoing due to the large scope of my project. To date, this is the best decision I have made in years! After only three sessions, I have a highly functioning office devoid of excess papers and items which do not belong in the space. We have labeled and banded all electronics and cords into easily accessible pockets on the back of the closet door. Scott helped me copy all my files and photos from a dying computer onto a removable HD to load into my cloud for storage, then put the computer out for recycle. I know where to put papers by designated folders and have stopped doing the paper shuffle from file to pile.
Scott helped us accomplish in four hours what we’ve been unable to do in 14 years - clearing our home office of clutter. He also left us with tools to keep the office in good shape and suggestions for standardizing our filing systems. We’ve been practicing the organizing tips he provided and working through our “to do” list from the Appointment Summary he provided. We were both really impressed with Scott’s professionalism and ability to keep us on task. He’s very skilled in identifying categories that make sense and guided us in sorting and culling the accumulated clutter of paper and “stuff” that hid our desktop. He’s very knowledgeable and knows how to help with both physical and electronic clutter. We definitely will use him again on future projects.
Scott is the best! He helped me get rid of clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc. that was too hard for me to objectively decide whether to keep it or toss. Scott asked the tough questions and made the process as painless as possible. I highly recommend this firm if you are stuck on what to get rid of. It is now Spring and time for that "house cleanse" you always wanted to do. I was downsizing in order to sell my house and more to a smaller place. Scott also gave me suggestions on how to stage my house to have that appeal to get buyers to make an offer. This agency is worth the price of services and I have recommended them to my friends.
We used The Organizing Agency as part of a total home renovation project. Scott and his team designed and installed 4 custom bedroom/home office closets, custom shelving for collectables, under stairs storage system, custom kitchen pantry and they unpacked and organized our entire house when it was time to move back in. Five stars aren't enough, they deserve 10.
Prior to working with Scott, I did not have a vision for my space. Scott was able to cast vision for my home and then walk me through a step by step process to get me there. We just started on this journey and I am excited to see how it will turn out. Well done Scott.
Highly disappointed from just the initial phone call. The owner who answered the phone grabbed my attention in the beginning but then lost my business with how rudely he ended the conversation. Not everyone's living situation accutes to their bank account and visa versa. I was ready to book with them until his sny remarks.
