We are so grateful for the Oxbow School for providing an environment where students feel safe to delve into subject areas deeply, to look outward with an open mind, inward with introspection, and to create, thoughtfully! Our daughter had an incredible semester there (OS34, Spring 2016, second semester Junior Year). She really pushed her own boundaries, and grew so much in maturity and confidence as a result. Before the Oxbow experience, she wasn't sure about what direction or what colleges she want to apply to; but after the Oxbow School, she has become more certain of what she wants. Oxbow is like a little piece of paradise, thanks to the incredibly nurturing and supportive staff and environment, not to mention the amazing food cooked with love! I highly recommend the Oxbow School to any young person who feels that the conventional school environment doesn't satisfy them, and that they are yearning for more "learning that's not divided into 7 period days."

I went to Oxbow in 2006 and it was a life changing experience. I am still close with many friends from Oxbow, I still consider the faculty to be mentors, and I have hired several recent Oxbow alumni to intern in my studio. At Oxbow I was taken seriously and constantly challenged to think deeper. It is truly one of the most enduring, supportive communities I have ever been a part of. Oxbow's curriculum is designed to teach students how to ask questions that spur meaningful discourse and think for themselves.

Amazing school!I I loved my semester here and it really allowed me to grow as an artist. There are only great things to say about Oxbow.

My semester at this school was a complete disappointment and a waste of the outrageously expensive tuition. The staff and faculty are uncooperative, stifling, stringent, and generally possess a bad attitude toward learning and the students, all around. The artistic talent in the school is lacking, seeing as the school seems to accept any student willing to pay the tuition. Artistic ability doesn't seem to be a pre-requisite for this "Art School". The instruction was poor and grading unfair. Overall I'd seriously reconsider attending this poor excuse for a school.
