My wife and I had an amazing stay. The room was big enough for the two of us and it definitely gave us that true New Orleans feel we were looking for. The building has so much character we loved the courtyard and learning about the history was a plus. The staff was super helpful, the rooms have lots of pretty details and the complimentary champagne with orange juice was a winner for my wife. You can't beat the location, all the good restaurants and bars are walking distance. We can't wait to be back.
Rooms had nails in floor that poke your feet if not wearing shoes. Hot water worked one night for less than 5 min. Could not get a response from management. Tried calling and emailed and we still have not received a response. Bit of a stretch to claim balcony rooms are on bourbon street. Can see bourbon street from balcony but not on bourbon street. Can hear everything outside because of single pane windows. This includes the street sweeper that came by every morning around 4 AM. AC unit dripped water in room so bad we had to turn it off. Very old charm but i would not recommend you stay here.
Do not hesitate, book here for your NOLA trip! Steps from Bourbon but once you are inside the mansion is very quiet. You can reserve the big suites or the apartments. We used the Mansion for bridal pictures and this property gave the perfect Old World New Orlean feel, the high ceilings, the bricks exposed walls, the giants chandeliers, the courtyard, the views of the quarters, everything! Great communication leading up to your reservation along with the option to request maid services each morning. They offer Spa robes and slippers to each guest, they even gave us complimentary bottle of champagne and snacks. The accommodations with the interior design are first class, it would make you feel like Royalty. Mimosas was a detail that was much appreciate. Love, love, love!!! I highly recommend you to stay here.
The Bachelorette party stayed here while we were in town for the dual bachelor/bachelorette party in New Orleans. Place was lovely. Had the very old NOLA feel, a beautiful courtyard and even a banana tree growing fruit. The rooms were classic and historical and is 20 feet away from Bourbon street. I would recommend booking a room here if ever in town.
Amazing historic place to stay in the French Quarter. You are a few steps from bourbon but on the quieter side. The accommodations were incredibly and the decor was just simply gorgeous. Fully recommend to anyone looking to stay in the middle of all the action and at the same time have a one of a kind experience.
We stayed in room #2. It was a beautiful room with a great courtyard to hang out in, which we did often. My only complaint is how dark the room is, sometimes the lights didn't seem to do us justice. Also, the tv remote is really hard to use, took us a good 10 minutes just to figure out how to turn the tv off when we arrived. Other than that, great stay and great location.
Absolutely horrible to find! No sign out front. Room was beautiful! Barrett was the worst person to deal with! He refused to let us have 1 HOUR check out! It was my wedding day!Rooms: 4/5
The place looks beautiful from the photos on the internet and my family was very excited that we were going to be staying here so I splurged and spent thre money but when a tropical storm came to the area and flooded the city, management had no concern for our having to cancel to keep my family out of harm's way and was still happy to take or money. They never even returned my call.
Look elsewhere when searching for a place. The place is incredibly loud you can hear every step, creak and word above you and the internet is TERRIBLE and they will not fix it. The lady who runs it is nice to communicate with but does nothing to actually help. Construction is on going with no warning... means all day loud banging. You know it is bad when the crew apologies but the management says nothing. It is pretty but not worth it.
The manager, Barrett is terrible, said we could get full refund, now he won't give or return calls. I will never recommend again. Wasn't our fault our flights were cancelled because of a hurricane!Service: 1/5
