Great venue. All basketball fans must go. The history is amazing
Iconic, Iconic, Iconic venue on University of Penn. Campus. Great place to watch basketball. Also great photos of various sport stars through our the venue.
historic and beautiful; for any basketball nut & enthusiast, this is one of the Meccas in all of basketball. I was very fortunate to correspond with the outstanding facilities’ staff of The Palestra @ the University of Penn’s campus; corresponding facilities director & associates allowed me to enter, tour and even shoot a couple of beloved, pastime hoops, my main passion of sport via basketball, both growing up & present-day. For all basketball enthusiasts that have a deep appreciation for iconic venues, such as unique/historic gymnasiums & fieldhouses, I highly recommend corresponding visiting The Palestra if ever touring & staying in the Greater Philadelphia, PA metroplex
Awesome environment for a big 5 basketball game. Easy access and plenty of space.
Old, but clean. Fulfills it's functions without any problem.
Great place to see a college basketball game. The benches are like high school benches that’s cool if you are there to see a game it’s worth it. It’s Philadelphia finding parking can be a headache make plans to get to the game early. Read the parking signs to avoid a ticket. One of my favorite places to see a game.
Beautiful new stadium for the UVA basketball teams. I love the layout of the stadium, the fact that you have a good view of the court from all seats, and the locker rooms are awesome!
There is something magical about watching a basketball at this old place. You just feel the history when you walk in here. Every basketball fan should experience a game here. The atmosphere at the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship game is always great, so try to see one of those games.
Love watching Penn basketball games at the Palestra. $25 for lower level, mid court seats. Took my 89 Dad to the game, been going there since high school back in the days when they hosted Saturday afternoon Big 5 triple headers ....classic D1 hoop venue.
Nothing beats the history and acoustics of a Big 5 Game with 2 home fan bases trying to outcheer each other on every basket! Especially in a close game "with corners" Philly slang for a sellout.
