The Palm Tavern

World class beer and liquor selection, something for everybody. You Miller lite folks may have to step out of your comfort zone but this is easily one of the best bars in Milwaukee. Bruno has a "Featured Bottle + Can" list that never fails to impress me.

This bar is so incredibly well stocked, it must be hell to inventory. But if you want to dive deeply into a particular kind or style of booze, your liver will give out long before you exhaust the menu. The bartenders are first rate. The joint is tiny and can get loud on Fridays, so if you're looking for sedate, go early or late or weekday. A real gem of the MKE Bay View neighborhood.

The Palm is one of the few places that I would ever give a five star rating to that I would support without any doubt, question, or reservation. As a bar, it has a phenomenal whiskey selection, a phenomenal beer selection, an excellent liqueur selection, an excellent liquor selection, and Incredibly knowledgeable and well-practiced bartenders. It is not the least expensive place in Wisconsin, nor even in Milwaukee, but if you are looking for quality of service, and quality of selection, I very much doubt that you will find a better place in the Milwaukee area. It is rather small, and it can be hard to sit at the seats which you would normally like to, but it is very rarely packed, and typically comparatively empty. The music tends to be at a medium range, neither too loud, nor too soft, but the music can overpower the atmosphere at times. Then again, the atmosphere at times can overpower the music. It is typically dependent upon the song and must be from the mode from which the music is played. If we are looking for detractors, it is relatively dark in comparison to most bars, but at the same time it is a most secluded and sublime spot to enjoy the company and conversation of a close friend with. I cannot tell you right now, whether or not you will enjoy or hate this bar, but I would strongly urge that if you are looking for a serious place to enjoy a quiet beverage, and a quiet conversation, that you try the Palm, because you may find that you may rarely ever find any other place that is as extraordinary for a good drink, a good conversation, and a good friendship.

Palm Tavern is my favorite place in Milwaukee to sip on a beer. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and take the time to help you pick out a good brew. They will let you taste and compare until you settle on a great beer. Such a large selection on tap. I have never had a bad experience here.

Incredible list of whiskeys, no, not a list, a book! I attended the 1-1/2 hour cask-strength "class" the second time I was there that was as much educational as it was delicious. If you love whiskey, you have to check out the Palm.

Great low-key place. Dark without being sketchy. Nice cool vibe. Good furniture, not just stools. Great beer selection. Can't wait to try their scotch menu. Now I have my Bay View Cheers :

Fantastic import and micro beer selection. Smoke free atmosphere is a GREAT bonus. Friendly staff who can make good recommendations on new beers to sample.

If you are looking for the best whiskey & tequila selection in town this is your place! They also have a pretty good beer selection with a good amount of micro brews

Great liquor selection. Perfect chill place to have a drink. They offer fun classes in the evening. And can be rather busy/full on the weekends.
