THE PET STAFF LEFT MY SERVICE DOG FOR DEAD. My service dog, Tashi, was everything to me. When I had to go into the hospital I reluctantly called the Pet Staff. They had taken care of my previous dog but always seemed slightly disorganized. I told the Pet Staff that I did not know when I would be released from the hospital. They said fine - they would take care of Tashi until I was released. I called every few days from the hospital and Tashi was always fine. When I was about to be released I called the Pet Staff. They were confused: they had not visited Tashi for 8 days. They had no explanation whatsoever of why they had stopped caring for him. The manager I talked to matter of factly said Tashi was dead -that he could not have lived 8 days w/o water. It took the Pet Staff 3-4 hours to get someone to check to see if Tashi was alive. Luckily, he was alive. The apt. mgr. had heard him barking and filled his water bowl several times but had not fed him. He was emaciated. The Pet Staff never even apologized. DON'T TRUST YOUR PET'S LIFE TO THIS DISORGANIZED BUNCH OF STUDENTS.
