I used Pool Butler to winterize my Pool. My normal Pool provider was booked and referred me to use them. My Pool opening was scheduled for yesterday, but once the cover was removed we realize there was not enough chemicals used during the winterizing, the liner was not screwed in tight enough, and the water was not below the jets. Also the Vinyl liner is ripping away from surfacing due to coercion LSI/unproperly winterized pool, which is shown in the below pictures. The water was completely black, instead of the normal green to yellow color. The 1st picture shows the cover 1st being removed, the 3rd shows after 12 bags of shock was used. So I got my Pool guy to call in with me and the lady Kimberly was helpful and provided me with the email address so I could send in pictures, and I was to received a call back from the service manager. I never received a call so I called back in this morning, and I was transferred to service manager Steven. Steven tells me they are not at fault and that it is normal to have yellow/green color water, but I reminded him the water was black and not the mentioned colors. He said he would call me back around 2pm today after he speaks with the owner of the company, but still no call. It is very disheartening to say the least because I heard such good things about this company. Hopefully they will do the right thing and correct the issue. As of right now, I would not refer them to anyone.
From 7/22-8/22 Basically Steve came out to give me a quote and at that time he determined that I would need to replace my sand filter collar and I asked what all it would take to get my waterfall to work, by this time I'm noticing he took a complete evaluation so he scheduled a tech to come out, 1 did and at that time cracked my sand filter and they avoided damages saying once he added sand, it cracked, I immediately wrote a review and they claimed they'll compensate me but the owner felt that he didn't have to once I removed the review 3 total service calls $600easo they charged me almost $1100 for pool cleaning, chemicals and scheduled me for a tech to see if my waterfall is functional, but immediately stated I needed a engine for the waterfall before checking to see if lines are blocked,or whatever else before considering the engine, so they won't take the blame for breaking my sand filter and refuse to accept a engine that has never been used, they were never able to get power to it and refuse to accept return or the fact that The Pool Butler Hiram location are Racist and rather not service Blacks especially if they feel you're not broke or have any problems with their service
If I could rate this lower, I would. I was completely disappointed in my service. Pool went from in great shape to unusable during 2 months with them. Advertised for $70 plus chemicals for cleaning. Actual bill went to as high as $250 because they kept messing it up and caused them to use more chemicals each time. Had a lot of staff turnover. Would not recommend them at all. Went to doing it myself, which is way cheaper and my pool is actually clean. So disappointed.
I have always held back on writing poor reviews, usually bad service is only applicable to one bad apple in a company or someone having a bad day, which isn’t worth providing negative feedback, just forgiveness. However, in this scenario I felt obligated to provide my review for the public to potentially help others avoid the frustration I’ve dealt with. This company has two branches that have serviced my location, Hiram and Norcross. The Hiram office staff have done a decent job and this review does not apply to them. However the company decided to switch us to the norcross location several months ago and since that time my experience with them has been absolute misery. I went from getting excellent communication on my weekly services to nothing. I do not receive any information about the pool chemical conditions, what services were provided and what chemicals were added. I don’t find out until I get a ridiculous bill for chemicals at the end of the month that had never been required in such high amounts previously. When I ask for those reports, I get told someone will reach out to the service manager, and then I never hear back…every month I’ve asked the same thing and never hear back…ever. On top of that, this team will leave my pool in service mode, or shut down, without telling us. I will then find out days later my pool pump has been running non-stop for several days straight. Or they will leave the doors to my pool equipment open causing rain to get in and short-circuit. Or they will leave the filter valve turned to the wrong setting so my pool doesn’t clean itself for a week, or they will leave the pool fill line on and overflow my pool giving me huge water bills. Basically they are negligent, and frankly terrible at what they do. I have spoken to managers, texted the owner of the company, and I get nothing other than silence or saying they will look into it. Please do yourself a favor and skip getting a quote from this company, you can absolutely do better with probably any other company. I would only recommend this company if you are looking for repeated bad service, poor communication, high bills without any explanation for the extra charges, and also love having to tell your children they can’t use the pool because The Pool Butler has once again messed something up.
The Pool Butler has done a great job over the past 6 months we have had our pool. From thorough cleaning to chemical balancing to checking out the equipment to confirm working properly, we have been very pleased. Danny serviced our pool recently and did an awesome job. Great job Danny and team.
Just want to say that Danny has been recently taking care of the pool at our house and is doing a great job. The pool looks wonderful and Danny is very courteous and professional. Pool Butler is a great company.
Great to work with, helped a lot to figure out what we need to do with our pool that came with our house!
I was taking care of my pool by myself but started back to school and won't have time to give it the attention it needs. After their first visit they had it looking better already.
Very professional and was prompt in response time to assess,; and provide maintenance/fee schedule to address our HOA community needs.
