They have about eight beers on tap. Very comfortable outdoor seating which is perfect on a nice warm day. They have a ton of different beers in a refrigerator that you can get in cans. And they have a massive selection of wine, hence the name. A great and comfortable setting, perfect for people watching. Limited indoor seating. I enjoyed my IPA. I sat outside, watched the people and thoroughly enjoyed my 30 minutes here.
Cozy mom-and-pop wine store. Indoor and outdoor seating. The tables have a good amount of distance between each other. We stopped in for a glass of wine. We did not eat there, but the burgers and fries looked promising if you like burgers.
It was a nice place to have a meal. Great ambiance and fast service. However, I didn’t feel as if the person at the counter was very helpful. I asked if they had Moscato and was told no. Then, asked if they had any sweeter wines and was just told that they don’t have anything like that in the entire store with a gesture to the floor to ceiling walls of wine. I felt a bit judged for obviously not having exquisite taste in wine and wish I could’ve been pushed in the direction of something new or similar to my taste. Like a cider, which I ended up ordering after having been shot down several times. The food was good. The sandwiches were large and high quality. My main issue with the dip sandwich was that the horseradish sauce wasn’t spread throughout the sandwich. It was just a big glob on one part that hurt a lot when I ate that section. Then, the remainder of the sandwich was quite flavorless without a the sauce. Would’ve been perfect if the sauce had been spread!
Needed a light snack on a warm Summer night and they delivered! Their charcuterie board was super tasty, and we split a lamb burger on special so might not be there when you go!. Delicious food, friendly staff.
Cool spot in Sellwood! Unique place with a bit of everything. They've got bottles of wine, tasting, beers, ciders, cocktails and decent food options. I liked the ambiance of the space! Drinks were good but the food was average. Pesto chicken had a very thin/small chicken filet overcooked- eating mostly brioche bun... not usually an issue but if you're paying $14 for just a sandwich, you'd expect to get more bang for your buck. Will probably go back just for drinks!
My experience at the Portland Bottle Shop was amazing. I decided to go for a drink after work, landed here, and am so happy I did. I had an outstanding cider on tap, I wanna say it was nectarine or something. Fantastic. Then, I went inside to find a bottle of wine to take home with me. Now, I really enjoy wines, but have close to zero words in which to describe wines, including the different types. The woman who I initially spoke with who was hilarious and told me how the whole thing works with the fridges and take home and corking fees and food and everything ... she was an absolute delight called over the "wine guy" and he took me over to the wine side, asked what my price range was and what I was looking for. I said $30, and my three known description words: red, dry, and not too sweet. He said got it, walked away, and came back almost immediately with two bottles in hand, one at $20 and one at $29. He briefly described them in words he knew I would understand, haha, and I walked out with both bottles. Both were exactly what I'd imagine myself picking out if I knew how, and I will 100% be back for more. Whoever the wine guy I worked with is... he knows wines. This shop knows wines. And how to match the people that come in with the wines that go with those people. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. The staff, like I said, is a delight. Couldnt give this place enough stars if i tried. 10 10 10 across the board.
Great spot to go with a few friends or your significant other. Lots of beer and wine selection as well as appetizers and salads, seasonal plates and sandwiches. You can place your order at the register, get a number and then someone will bring it to your table. I love the wooden picnic benches and tables on the sidewalk.
A fun setting In Sellwood where friends can meet up for a great glass of wine and a tasty charcuterie board. What better way to celebrate a friend’s birthday or a special occasion? Afterwards, you can walk the well-lit classic old neighborhood, lined with antique shops, and other fun places to check out. A great place to end your day.
This is a really cool place for beer, wine, and food. Their menu is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The burger I had was really good and they have gluten free bread options. I would have given five stars, but my wife's portobello sandwich was messy and hard to eat. She ended up taking it apart to eat it. There's good outdoor seating here, which was great for a sunny day. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual place to sit down, relax, and sip a cold beer.
In what world does a philly have CUBED meat? So very disappointing. Flavor was overall okay.
