We came and stayed for our anniversary. Booking the room was a super easy experience. Checking in was painless, I struggled a little bit because I have anxiety but the person checking us in handled it so well! Valet was great, worth the price for the peace of mind. The reasons I’m rating this a 3/5 are because we woke up both night of our stay from noise- both noise from the hallway/other rooms and from how loud the vents in the room were. The pillowcases on two of our pillows were ripped which wasn’t a big deal but still not ideal. Also, there was an armchair in our room that had a metal staple/nail sticking out of the side of it, which I caught my arm on and it left a scratch/cut. We went to the jacuzzi our first night and it was very lukewarm, almost as if it was bath water which was a bummer. I had to ask for extra toilet paper at one point and we waited about 30 minutes before my partner asked me to ask one of the housekeepers in the hallway for some instead of waiting. The alarm clock in the room went off at 6AM both mornings even thought I turned it off when we checked in. After the first time it went off, I double checked that it was in fact off but it went off again the next day at 6am. I would’ve unplugged it, but we needed it for the convenient. outlets for our device chargers All that being said, the staff were great! They gave us free drink tickets upon arrival to the rooftop bar which was such a fun experience. When I mentioned the busted chair, the front desk sent someone up to remove it within a few minutes. They said they’d investigate the noise complaint I made and I never heard back but I don’t consider that a huge deal I guess. The location is amazing, walking distance from the riverfront and shops. There is a little cafe type shop right near the check-in desk which had incredible coffee and staff! So convenient with such nice employees. We both felt safe during our stay and we both said we would definitely return to this hotel for our next trip to Portland, just that we would stay on top of the things we weren’t impressed with next time. As I said, I would rate this hotel higher because of all of the good stuff but the bad stuff really impacted our stay and experience for our anniversary significantly. Editing: to add that I see a review from someone who stayed here during the same time period as us, but had a very different experience. It appears that their first night was also not great but they were taken care of excellently. I am unsure of why we felt so unheard and not taken care of when someone else felt the opposite for their issues during their stay.
I just returned from a 2 day stay there for a work meeting. The front desk and valet staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and nice. The last night I had a drink at the rooftop bar which was delicious and amazing view. Only negatives there are zero signs or guidance about amenities in hotel, nothing in the room or any where about pool, bar, gym etc. The restaurant on the first floor is closed imagine covid casualty and the food offerings at upstairs bar is very limited. Doesn’t appear that there is anywhere to get breakfast in the Hotel except for the coffee shop attached that has a limited amount of grab and go items. I hope at some point amenities return because it feels empty and very dead feeling.
Beautiful rooms that feature floor to ceiling windows, a mini fridge, and glass shower doors. It was very nice that they welcomed me back once they had seen that a was a returning customer. It was also great to see that they checked in by text to see hiw my stay was going... The downside was that it was a little dusty and the windows with the amazing view still had the fingerprints of young children. However, I don't blame them for wanting to get as close as possible to that amazing view. They did come and bring some new linens upon asking for maid service. Great little spot with a fantastic view.
Note that I use hotel points to check out this place. The hotel is really well styled. The pool is fancy and kid friendly. The patio provides a cool sunken vibe where you're safe from the street noise while you admire towering skyscrapers. The location is close to the waterfront. But I recommend coming here as a romantic valentine's day or celebrate an anniversary. At the time the steam room was out of order. But if the sauna, steam room, and pool are all open I would make an effort annually to come here as a local to have a spa retreat from my regular Portland work week.
Stayed here for one night, last night. Overall we had a great experience. The rooms are modern, clean and quite comfortable. Sofa bed was an unusual design but comfortable as well although it did have a support piece that ran down the center, but it wasn’t too noticeable - Note: To open the sofa bed, remove all pillows including the back pillows by pulling up. Pull up and towards you from behind the couch. It will unfold. Parking is expensive at $49 for valet, but the parking garage kitty-corner from the hotel entrance is much cheaper and an easy walk. I’ll definitely consider staying here again. Almost forgot. The rooftop bar/restaurant looked great. Never had a chance to go but definitely want to try next time. Be advised, last call is at 9:30 doors close at 10pm.
This is a pretty nice hotel for a decent price, the valet parking gets really jammed and you have to go around the block a few times before you drop off your car. They give you free drink vouchers for the rooftop bar which is cool, but what we didn’t know is that the bar is really more like a club. There’s a fun coffee shop connected to the lobby. It was a great hotel for the price and a pretty good location. Not the best stay but absolutely not the worst!
The hotel was beautiful but front desk staff was not great. It actually left a negative effect on us. And we will not recommend this hotel to anyone. We spent a lot of money to stay here for our anniversary. You would expect the service to be great. The front desk barley spoke to us/didn’t smile/used one word responses. They just handed the keys over and said “here”. My husband and I looked at each other like “did that really just happen?” We knew nothing of the hotel nor where the elevator was. I had to ask for the hotels information. The front desk is the face of the hotel and they should be welcoming and inviting and engaging in conversation or at least smile. I never make reviews but hopefully this will encourage them to be nice and welcoming to their guests.
I spent 1 night of what was supposed to be a girl’s weekend with my daughter. The king suite was way smaller than expected. There was no room service and only one roof top restaurant with limited items. The staff was amazing and the food was decent, but I expected more based on what was advertised. The sink drains so slow and there were hair particles drifting up. The bathroom doors are barnyard style and made no sense to us. The grab and go bar had no attendant and there was no direction. I paid extra for breakfast and they charged my account anyway. I called the front desk to tell them and she said it would be reversed within a few hours and that has not happened a day later.
This is a great place to stay. Great amenities like the pool/jacuzzi, sauna/steam room and gym all on the lower floor to enjoy. It offers the rooftop lounge and restaurant. At entrance you have access to a bar, seating area and computers. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The other guests were also pleasant. No issue with noise or disturbances. Friendly and professional staff. Unfortunately Valet is $50 a night but they offer a speedy service and allow you to request car to be ready by text. Overall great place to book if you are in town for business or vacation or even leisure!
No daily housekeeping due to staff shortages was the biggest downside. We stayed 3 nights and they only refreshed the linens and empty the trash on the 3rd day of your stay. Otherwise, the hotel is nice with an indoor pool and hip rooftop bar. Valet parking is $49/ day but we skipped that and parked in a public lot near by recommended by the concierge that was much, much cheaper.
