The Pyramid Scheme

I love this bar! I started getting into pinball playing and the fact that there are so many machines, as well as the fact that they change them up to accommodate different tastes is so appealing. Good drink deals, awesome venue for music. This place is awesome!

Great venue! The front bar area is a nice place to hang out. Great selection of Libations and pinball machines. The music venue portion provides that smaller music venue feeling which had been lacking in the GR area

Easily one of West Michigan's Top 5 venues. Comedy and music are equally welcome at The Scheme and the experience is great for both. The beer selection is better than it needs to be and who doesn't love pinball? This place has real character and the subtle, satirical nod to Amway isn't lost on anyone. I'm not sure why we review a venue but there you have it - if a band or comedian you like is coming to the pyramid scheme, any bad times you have can't be laid at the feet of the venue.

Great place: excellent beer selection, good vibe, and the best pinball selection you will find almost anywhere. Very laid back. No food but I understand they are open to deliveries from local spots. Did I mention that they have tons of well maintained pinball tables?

I went dancing here, eleven to close. The sound system is solid -- they have proper low-frequency sound reproduction, with at least two bass bins for that chest-vibrating bass. The rest of the sound spectrum was good that night, but I completely recommend wearing hearing protection. You only get one set of ears. The bathrooms are fun -- there's no paper towels, no trash cans, just a sign that says something like "We're committed to taking care of the earth" as explanation. The dance floor (and this is universal) got disgusting and sticky, but the unfortunate puddle got cleaned up before I could even report it to one of the staff. Highly recommended!
