Fully recommend the Residence at Justison Landing. The river view is breathtaking, access to Starbucks and five star restaurants in the Wilmington area. The apartment design is easy to arrange furniture to give you that glamorous feel. Very rich in culture. Pet friendly and the IMAX theater is around the corner. Kids touch museum and trampoline park in walking distance. Staff is professional and smiling everyday. Very conscious on each tenants needs.
Beautiful area on the riverfront, the only part of Wilmington that I have found consistently active outside business hours. The renovated apartments had nice modern hardware and the staff and security were friendly and helpful. Maintenance was always prompt. None of the smoking smell other reviewers mention, but maybe I was just lucky. Only rating a 4 rather than a 5 because of some communication issues during move in and move out, as well as the noise level from the street. Nothing more than normal for city living, but some upgraded windows would be nice considering music from Constitution yards.
My Experience at Justison Landing started off well. As time went on I began to see how unprofessional and unorganized the company and staff are. My first incident occurred when my lease was set to end in September of 2022. In June of 2022 I realized that I did not receive a renewal letter offer nor a letter stating that my lease would not be renewed. I found that puzzling so I contacted the leasing office. Of course I was unable to get a hold of anyone as staff is never available. A week or two later which was the end of June. Leaving me with approximately 45 days or less notice of my rental status I finally got a hold of staff. I would like to add that I’m a mother of one year old child and our stability is very important. I’m sure your wondering why didn’t I just walk down to the office. As a Registered nurse working 12-14 hr shifts my schedule was never compatible with office hours. Sam which is whom I spoke with informed me that JL would not be renewing my lease. When I asked why she said they were exercising their rights. I then asked why wasn’t I privy of this information and why had I not received any documents. She then stated she would reach out to the property manager Dan for details. Clearly this caused stress and anxiety as I knew I now had less than 45 days to secure housing for me and my young son. This information was disheartening to me as I have never been late on ANY payments, minimal contact with neighbors or staff, no complaints to my knowledge as I’ve NEVER received any written complaints. Luckily I applied and was approved to live somewhere else. That’s when I received notice from property manager Dan G that JL was conveniently willing to renew my lease . This is after showing them my new offer letter from my employer. Of course I considered the thought of staying as it’s a hassle to move. When I realized the treatment I received was unfair and unjust. I have NEVER in my years of renting experienced being told I’m unable to renew my lease and then I could renew in matter of days. Without any explanation, apologies , or reasoning. It has now been THREE months since my move out. Would you believe I still have not received my security deposit check ? I’ve reached to Ellie Helmes at least 3xs. She’s constantly giving me the run around. She actually told me she mailed the check herself. I reviewed and confirmed my correct address with her and still no security deposit. I would not recommend anyone to live here. Justison Landing reflects poorly on Reside BPG as a whole. Reside BPG has several properties with professional staff. JUSTISON LANDING is not one of them. Do yourself a favor.
I made an appointment with this Complex over the phone. The gentleman advised me I would be meeting with a Ellie. When we arrived we advised the Concierge we had an appointment with Ellie at 12:30. She did state that she did not see any appointments for Ellie but you could proceed to the 2nd floor and wait in the waiting area. When Ellie arrived and stepped off the elevator she did not acknowledge us which is a security breach to myself as a retired law enforcement officer when you see someone who is unfamiliar you ask if they are lost or need assistance. I ask if her name was Ellie and she said yes who let you up here. Exact words “who let you up here This was rude and unprofessional on so many levels. She then proceeded to call the Concierge and chastised her rudely in front of us. Please advise her management training 101 “council in private, compliment in public. We had an appointment at 101 earlier and Brennan MacAllister said he knew her and to tell her hello. Brennan has excellent customer service, and was accommodating. Well her rudeness got in the way of all of that. Unfortunately we won’t be returning to none of your properties and this will go viral on all social media platforms.
This place is a so unprofessional and a SCAM. My Sister had put an application in on on 12/20. The Leasing consultant Ellie Donovan was replying back and etc. with no problem. Her application was denied, The application Fee of $50.00 is non-refundable But they also make you pay a Fee of $200.00 Unit deposit which is supposed to be "Refundable"if your denied. My sister realized she was Never refunded her $200.00 unit deposit so she has been reaching out to Ellie Donovan since 12/24 in regards to not receiving her $200.00. Ellie replies that she is forwarding the message to the property manager. My sister has still yet to receive her money and Then they are emailing her Rent reminders, How if she was allegedly not Approved for the apartment. This place is terrible and obviously steals people hard earned money. She still has been emailing them about this issue and they have stopped responding.
Amazing location. Haven’t had an issue with sound from the neighbors either. It’s got charm, it’s a good mix of professional, relaxed, and fun.
There is absolutely no EV charging at this garage. The management lied to us and continues to lie to future tenants, saying there is EV charging when there is not. There are only 2 working 120V outlets in the garage. The other outlets are all broken. The management refuses to install an EV charger and continues to lie to tenants saying there is EV charging here, when there actually is not. You can also hear the Beer Garden concerts every Friday and Saturday until midnight during the warm months, loud and clear.
The apartment community is nice and super convenient for those working nearby. Riverfront area is 50 steps from here and is one of the best places in Wilmington! The apartment is a bit pricey for the size but convenience and safety compensate for it. The apartment complex is well maintained and the any maintenance issuesrare are addressed immediately. The sound proofing is also good, I never hear any footstep noises from above despite the fact that there are kids in the above apartment.
Casey Herman, at Residences at Justison Landing has truly been a blessing. She has made living here an enjoyable experience. Not only is she professional, and caring…… she is also seasoned with expertise at her craft. She is knowledgeable, informative, and displays exceptional welcoming customer service that makes it delightful just to be in her presence. You do not find people like her every day. It is quite obvious that she loves what she does, and is great at it. I will refer her, along with Justison Landing to any of my nursing colleagues, friends, and family. I know they would be in the best hands ever. Thank you Casey for making my experience at Justison Landing wonderful! Although it is a beautiful place to live, it takes that one special person to enhance the experience, which is you! God Bless! :0 Mitsie Robinson 2016-2018
I absolutely love living at the Justison Landing building. The riverfront is a great place to live in Wilmington. It's close to many places to eat, drink, or see an IMAX movie. The new walk path for running, walking or riding is a nice scenic walk. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends!
