The Sharing Place

The Sharing Place is a grief support group for Children who have lost a parent or sibling to death. During the group, my son said "pass" when asked to check in. Afterwards the facilitator pulled him aside and said check in is required and maybe this group isn't for you. How can anyone with an once of compassion tell a grieving child that they don't belong because they don't feel like talking? It makes me want to sob and throw up at the same time. If you join this group, first of all, my deepest condolences for your loss I sure hope you get a better facilitator than ours.
