This is a fantastic Brewery and Pub. Their local Brews are all worth sampling. They offer flights for their locals. On top of their flights they have an extensive beer menu that should satisfy the pallet of any Beer Hound. Their food menu is extensive and incredibly good. I had their macaroni and cheese burger and their wings. Both were perfect and well cooked. Their fries are indescribably good . I don't know what spices they put on them but you can't stop eating them once you start. They have specials for every day, and live music on Thursday through Saturday in a unique stage that is elevated above the main floor. They also have a large outside venue with many seats around heated fire pits.
This is your classic loud brew pub. Mostly, if not all, high tops. Find your own seat kinda place. Service was great. Beer choices are plenty. If you like beer, there is something you like here. The pretzel sticks are more than enough for 2 and the beer cheese is good stuff. We split a cheese pizza b/c the pretzel sticks were filing. It's thin crust and tasty while hot. a little less tasty as it cooled, but still good stuff. There is live music some nights. Like I say, the place is loud. So, kinda hard to hear.
Another great place in Indy. Pretty large bar with plenty of indoor seating and also have outdoor area with fire pit. Stays busy but they have plenty of friendly and helpful servers. Large selection of beers to choose from. The food was really good and it did not cost an arm and a leg. Plenty of large screen TV’s. Great place to watch sports and have a good time. My wife and I shared their Turkey & Cranberry Club served with fries Very good along with a Margarita Pizza we only finished half of it Thin Crust Well made pizza with Balsamic Drizzle. My son had their Pepperoni Pizza Said it was good. Looking for some good food, good service and watch a game or two - then come by this establishment!
Ask for David - fast and friendly server! This place offers a large selection of craft beer on draft and they have a great cocktail menu. The turkey club is delicious, I recommend getting the sweet potato fries with it. They have live music on Thursdays. Great atmosphere, open seating.
This place was pretty good. The food was fresh and they brought us samples of the soup and chilli which we ended up ordering. We also had the loaded tots. I ordered the chilli AND the gumbo and my boyfriend got the cheeseburger. The service was great. They were also doing trivia that night but we left before that started. The fireside outdoor tables are really cool too.
Overall good experience. Went for a business lunch and there was no wait, immediate seating. It was my first time there and I liked the atmosphere. Although it's a brewhouse, it was perfectly appropriate for a business lunch. Service was above average for the time of day noon-1pm and our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. Service was quick but not hasty, we were in and out within the hour so the pace was spot on. Food was above average, we had chicken, mango and tuna tacos which everyone devoured! I personally had the ahi tuna tacos and they were really good. I would get them again and they were reasonably priced considering the state of the economy. I could argue they are a bit pricey but I left satisfied. The chips and dip that accompanied the tacos were the only downside. They just didnt have much flavor and to a person we all left a bunch on our plates. I would return, I would order the same thing again and I would even try other menu items. I recommend.
Absolutely love it here, the atmosphere is great. The staff are super friendly and very ready to give great recommendations on the menu. Their beer and food menu is really good. Add outdoor seating with views of the downtown and you’ve got a winner of a brewpub! Definitely my fav place in downtown Indianapolis. Our order: 1. Tap Fries must try served with pwrmesan garlic aioli, sun dried tomatoe pesto, chipotle ranch, tap beer cheese 2. Black bean burger good vegetarian option 3. Thunder chicken tacos 4. Filet sliders
Great location. Every time I come by here the patio is packed with people. We enjoyed sitting on the patio for lunch. The food was good. The service was fast and friendly and the price was reasonable. I have no complaints and I will likely return again.
Today was my 2nd time at The Tap. First time was super slow, however waitress was pretty nice. So yes there are more problems in the world then this… However today was another story…we went to lunch at 12:30, which yes it’s a busy time to go to lunch. I’m not sure if our server’s name was John, but that was the name on the receipt. He didn’t really speak. He dropped off waters at the table and didn’t say anything. We asked for straws, and he walks away. He finally comes back over and we order our food and two fountain drinks at 12:40, he still didn’t say anything, we just asked if we could order everything at that time, he doesn’t write anything down. We cannot locate our server so at 12:55 I finally go up to the bar to request our drinks, and then he comes back and just puts them on the table and walks away,…again we try and ask for straws, and he doesn’t say anything. One of our drinks is wrong so we let him know, and he doesn’t say anything again, and we ask for straws for the 3rd time-he FINALLY speaks! He tells us he has to go get them. So our food arrives…and two out of the 3 orders are wrong-nothing major. One person asked for salad dressing on the side, and brought the wrong one-no problem, easy fix….then ordered ketchup on a hamburger, and it comes with Mayo on the side which he charged .75 cents for ….so let him know hey can I get some ketchup……he brings back….mustard. So ask for ketchup again, he finally brings it back. Put the ketchup on the hamburger. So this isn’t servers fault…but I’m very grateful I do cut into my hamburgers when I eat….because the inside of the hamburger is RAW, like I’m not talking like oh a little pink….like 100% RAW! So I go and talk to the manager and let him know what happened, and there was no apology, saying hey I’m sorry this happened, what can I do. I wasn’t expecting free food or anything of that nature-just an I’m sorry what can I do to fix it. But he just looks at it and he asks who the server was. However I was concerned if I did ask for them to fix it-what I would get. I know the restaurant business is hard, I’ve been a server before, and at this time, people are short staffed. However none of this was acceptable.
100% recommend! Grace was our server and she’s was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable. Fantastic personality and super attentive. Beer selection is extraordinary and the ones we tried were really good. Fries and tots are great too. Atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Grace is the reason we were there for over 3 hours hanging out with new friends. We’re not from Indy but it’ll be a must stop on our next visit!
