UnleashedPet is terrific for regular drop-in visits for my 1.5 year old yellow lab. I reached out to Christy and heard back relatively quickly. We had an hour long session virtually where I answered a ton of questions about my dog, her habits, and my home. Christy covered everything from my dog’s behavioral history and her favorite treats to where to find the fire extinguisher and emergency water shutoff. It was clear that Christy has thought through nearly anything that could come up during a visit. After the initial conversation, we did a meet and greet in my back yard where Christy met my dog. Christy was friendly and personable, and great with the dog despite my dog getting mud all over her!. After that we started service. I love the email updates I get after a visit, complete with photos. My dog picked up a dead squirrel, and Christy used quick thinking to grab a high value snack to get her to drop it. I have emailed with Christy a handful of times, and her responses have been prompt. She has also chased me when I have fallen behind, which I appreciate. She also sent me a handy guide on what to do if your dog picks up a dead animal. I’ll update this in a few months, but at this point, I highly recommend Christy and team for drop-in visits.

I have had a wonderful experience with the Unleashed Pet! I hired them to walk my greyhound, Luke, and from the Spot Check picture and report its clear that they spend a lot of time with him. He is much more relaxed now when my husband and I come home from work. They are very flexible with scheduling- snow days, sick days and government shutdowns are no issue. We would highly recommend the Unleashed Pet! Update 2021- Now we have three greyhounds and they all love their friends at the Unleashed Pet. They've missed seeing them as a result of Covid. As much as they like having me around I think, I know they'll be happy to see their walkers again!

Even on fairly short notice The Unleashed Pet is usually able to help us out. However, I do recommend getting in touch with them asap if you have plans to travel, as sometimes communication can be a little slow. My husband and I look forward to the pictures they send during every visit. My cat always seems happy and healthy when we return. We have never had an issue with a sitter and have been extremely grateful to have found this service.

This is--hands down--the best dog walking service I've used in NoVA Alexandria, Fairfax Cty, Arlington. I have not had a SINGLE HICCUP during my time working with them. They are pleasant, they walk my dog the appropriate amount of time 30 min walk....my dog is exhausted afterwards. They never break the rules...which seems like a no-brainer but I discovered another company letting my dog off-leash against my explicit instructions. They are friendly, professional, respond quickly to emergencies and willing to lend a helping hand. We've even considered getting a second dog b/c we trust The Unleashed Pet so much.

We adopted a 5-yr old feist-mix named Penny in March 2018. After reading reviews of local dog walkers, we chose The Unleashed Pet. The owner, Christy, immediately responded to our request, and met with the three of us. We began services the next day! Penny came to us with heartworm, and very shortly after we got her, she came down with hookworm. Christy's dog walkers helped us through some difficult times taking care of Penny, and let us know when they observed anything out of the ordinary. Their email updates with each visit helped my wife and I decide to leave work early a few times to take care of our sick pup. After all of this cleared, we've been on a regular routine with Christy and her awesome dog walkers! In anticipation of having our first child a month ago, we pre-arranged with Christy to have someone come by a few times a day while we were at the hospital. Of course, you don't know when a baby is going to arrive. We kept Christy informed while we were waiting for the baby to come, and she was able to arrange for services immediately when we needed them and for as long as we needed them. They've been very flexible and responsive for over a year now, and we couldn't imagine working with anyone else! As an update to this post almost a year ago, Christy and her team have continued to provide us with excellent service for over two years! COVID-19 has us stuck at home like everyone else, but we look forward to bringing Christy and her dog walkers back once we start going back into the office. We highly recommend The Unleashed Pet!

The staff of The Unleashed Pet have been taking care of my elderly cat Chloe when I travel for the last couple of years. I especially like that I receive a photo of her and a report on their visit every day. Excellent communication and great concern for my cat

Sad to say this company did not work out. I prefer female owned companies but communication was poor. Christy nearly bit my head off a few times whenever I would ask a question about billing etc. I understood billing was on the first of the month but never got the December bill. Then delivered both December and January bills together! Over $600 I couldn’t make the adjustment bc I was in the middle of refinancing and didn’t want to put that big a charge on a Credit Card. I gave 7 days notice to end services but she wouldn’t leave my keys in my locked home! She flat out refused to leave my keys even though my front door is a combination lock. Her tone was condescending and accusatory. She insisted on sending my keys through certified mail! All sort of ridiculous. Also when she came with my walker for the first walk, she didn’t want me to meet her and was curt and short. I always felt like I was “walking on eggshells” with this woman. Holding onto my keys was really the final straw.

Christy and her team showed care and consideration when taking care of my elderly Valerie. At no time did I worry about the care Valerie was given. Her team provided updates and pictures. Valerie did not seem to mind too much when I would be away. Christy has strict key controls in place, which protect both her and me. Due to my condo's strict key controls, I have a limited number of front door keys. These controls caused some anexity at both the beginning and end of the relationship Valerie passed. I would recommend Christy and her team.
