Located in a small strip mall in Claremont, between the Dollar Tree and Fitness 19. This is a great boba tea/ Taiwanese cuisine restaurant! This is the best braised beef noodle soup that I have ever eaten! Rich beef broth, perfectly seasoned, with pak choy cabbage, thin noodles, and tender braised beef chunks. Amazing dish! Highly recommend this shop! They have both counter ordering for boba teas, and table service with full food menu. Clean men’s and woman’s restrooms.
Im surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating. I hardly write positive reviews but this place is simply great. I never been to a restaurant that served chicken this tender until this place. Food taste fresh and many flavors are present but not over seasoned or under. I'm only in the area for a job but I wouldn't be shocked if I found myself back here another day on my own time.
A good variety of traditional Chinese food along with menu options familiar to the locals. Had the corn soup which came in a bowl sharable for four, it was creamy and hearty. Also had the Taiwanese style rice noodle stir fry which was well flavored and had a good mix of protein and veggies. So had the tender pork with bean curd and the veggies in the dish were crisp and gave the dish a nice texture. The service was quick and friendly. Will be back for sure.
Brand New Owners The décor looks great, with booths as well as table and chairs to accommodate larger groups. The ambiance is bright, new and hip with a large flat screen on the wall. Wait staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Every dish that came out of the kitchen smelled and looked delicious with very generous portions. I ordered the Combination Noodle Soup which was very good, in a ginormous bowl that was suitable for sharing. I highly recommend it. I will be back!
This is seriously the only Chinese restaurant I care to dine at. It's a small hole in the wall in a shopping center, but the food is so incredibly fresh and flavorful. We've tried a quite a few dishes but my favorite is the fish with black bean sauce and anything Kung Pao. The only thing I didn't care for was the walnut shrimp, it wasn't bad but I had assumed the shrimp was no deep fried. Friendly staff, clean and reasonably priced.
Here again for my fix of the most tasty Chinese food in this local. I’ve lived in the area for 5 years. I came from the City of San Gabriel. The capital of Asian cuisines! Upper House is the closest to my favorite food to eat East of San Gabriel. You will be back for more!
The worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. The egg foo young was burned to a crisp. The chicken in the chicken lo mein was dry as a bone and lukewarm, and was tasteless! Never again for me and my family! GO ELSEWHERE!!!
The best Chinese food in Claremont - they even have my favorites like egg foo young and fruit smoothies - check out their unique warm desserts like banana hazelnut and marshmallow toast... yummm
Boba, fantastic. Kung Pao beef, amazing. Nice lil hole in the wall restaurant, if you're in the Claremont Village area, stop by this fun place just down the street of Indian Hill.
The portions are huge but, the food is extremely bland. Maybe the cook was having a bad day.
