Very good, love all the vegetarian/vegan options. The service was really good as well. I ordered the vegetarian chili cheese dog, minus the cheese and it was REALLY good. Not an easy find. The cheese curds were awesome and the food was reasonably priced. The only downside to the whole visit were the seasoned fries. It was like a mouth full of seasoning and didn't blend well with the fries. We honestly couldn't even eat them with ketchup, but the rest of the food made up for it.

AMAZING brats! They have some off-the-wall menu options, but they nail it! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The outdoor patio is great on a nice day. VERY highly recommend!

A Milwaukee mainstay! Great food and drink selection. My favorite items are the Thai breaker, duck BLT, schnitzel-wurst, potato cheese balls and crispy ginger tofu. Highly recommend checking out this place if you’re in the area!

Cool place and nice ambiance but the food was just okay. We were really confused by how to order at first. You get seated by a server but then you have to go up to a register to pay and order - if you want any drinks then that’s also a separate order at the bar including if you want water. The food was okay. I got the Thai breaker. I feel like the toppings just didn’t work with the sausage and bread, there wasn’t enough peanut sauce or crunchy bits. The fries were also just okay, nothing amazing. I think it’s kind of funny that the extra 50¢ is just salt. The chorizo fries got soggy real quick, maybe too much sauce. The place itself is really cool and all of the servers and bartenders are really nice but overall I wasn’t really amazed by the place.

Hot dogs, poutine, fried potato balls, and curds. What's not to love? Visited this spot after a fun brewery tour at @lakefrontbrewery . It's a smaller spot but they have a large bar & wide variety of toppings and flavors. We also got a nice old fashioned that made the night. If you're here with friends, highly recommend getting one of their special hotdogs, the fried potato ball waiters favorite, garlic poutine It's SO GOOD

The Vanguard was great. Made in house sausages, burgers, lots of sides, with beers and drinks. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the vegetarian sausages currywurst and Chicago style and they were delicious, with sides of fried Brussels sprouts amazing and poutine so good. Kiddo ordered mac n cheese and root beer and enjoyed the music. Super friendly folks work here too. Expect loud music, and enjoy.

Unique place with a slight pro wresting theme. I had a jalapeño brat made Tijuana style and a fry. Pretty damn good eating. The place was busy for lunch, which tells me the locals love it as well. Will be stopping here again on my travels to the area.

Stopped here on a Monday night, the place is really busy. Had some really interesting menu options, everything we tried was really good. It seems the poor reviews on here were people who are impatient or ignorant, one or the other. I highly recommend it.

Update! Went back again just to make sure their delicious food and amazing service wasn’t a fluke and it definitely wasn’t. I tried the Vegan Berlin Currywurst and it was amazing. I thought I was going to miss the bun on that bad boy but the bed of scrumptious and crispy fries made up for it. I also tried the pan fried brussel sprouts and the burnt ginger tofu and let me tell you that I thought I died and went to heaven. They were AMAZING! My fiancé had the Milwaukee and Chicago style hot dogs accompanied with their poutine and he was the quietest patron ever from just throughly enjoying his dogs. We both continue to give this place a 10,000/10 and can’t wait to come here again!!! Wowzer!!! Best sausages I’ve had in Wisconsin hands down. They have so many vegan options for me with even more non-vegan options for my fiancé. I had the vegan animal fries, vegan brat with the Philly toppings and the Buffalo tofu and I basically inhaled the delicious food down. Everything was amazing! My fiancé also enjoyed his hotdogs and fries. Both food and bevs were reasonably priced and the ambiance was perfect for our date night. We both can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!!

This place never disappoints. As a vegetarian, there are more than a few veggie and vegan options of sausages, "buffalo wings," and more. I believe even the veggie sausages are made in house. Great place! Always try and stop by when I'm in Milwaukee/Bayview.
