STAY AWAY! Both rent and management staff are outrageous. I lived here from 2016-2017. Worst decision ever. The leasing office has total lack of transparency in dealing with sublets / wouldn't let my new tenant move in despite all agreeing earlier even locked me out of elevator for a scheduled move in. I almost had to cancel my flights to Seattle given this delay, very stressful and ended up costing me lots of extra $$$. The doorman / maintenance crew are great, but usually slow to respond to requests. Also the water pressure in the kitchen sink / showers are also not good. Lastly, the elevators are very, very slow and tiny. This was easiest the longest part of my commute to midtown east every day. DO NOT MOVE HERE
Don't know what the negative reviews are about, absolutely love living here. Awesome floor to ceiling view, great area, super attentive staff, renovated gym is great huge time saver having it in the building, decent price. Highly recommended.
DO NOT MOVE HERE, it’s not worth it at all some of the doormen are rude. So many problems with the heat in the winter. The water pressure in the kitchen sink is horrible. You will be constantly calling maintenance. The elevators are slow. The building looks pretty but trust me it’s not worth it. Worst decision ever moving here
Nice building but the doorman just be such a pain the. butt they can make my friends that I invite over feel so uncomfortable when visiting me. I understand that doorman job is to watch and supervise whose entering but you would think the president lives here, some of the doorman just take the job a little to serious like relax I don’t think you’re getting paid any extra. I wish the doorman here were like my old building they were nice and kind and very relaxed. Sometimes these doorman make you feel not welcomed. Maybe that’s how it is in New York City
Luxury amenities, decent apartments, solid appliances. First of all, let me say the doormen Jason and Damien are the best part of the building. You're paying luxury prices for apartments that were luxury 20 years ago. The inhouse gym and basketball court are great and provide the luxury for the building. Landlord will nickel and dime you on the way out, don't expect to get your full security deposit back! Also if you're at a low level or really any level for that matter know that you are right next to the Lincoln Tunnel. That means lots of traffic and car horns at late hours of the night and early in the morning. Understand that the cheap rent for this building is because the apartments are decades old and you're adjacent to Lincoln Tunnel.
Warning! Do not stay at apartment 20D this apartment got heating issues. Horrible experience all winter had to pretty much ask every week for the heat to be fixed In my room. The hallways and lobby don’t have heat neither they will lock you down to the lease even if the apartment got defects.
The lease Management has been extremely professional and reliable. They helped me naviguate a difficult situation. Grateful and thanksful in particular for Elena, who has been my main point of contact and both helpful and efficient.
I love this place going going on the top of the floor it's great place to relax and see how the beautiful sunset rise.
Nothing but great things to say about the staff/team, building management and the apartment itself. Anytime there was a problem, it was promptly addressed e.g. A/C Unit issues, sink issues, etc. They use BuildingLink to organize everything with tenants, which made communication a breeze. The gym is fantastic and lounge areas on 3rd floor are very nice and well kept. If you haven't seen the roof, make sure you do as it's a fantastic way to experience the city and is always a great place to grab a drink with visiting friends. As far as location goes, my partner and I both walked to work 10m to Hudson Yards, 25m to lower Chelsea. We found the commute to be excellent and preferential if you want to avoid the subway. Being 2 blocks from the westside highway meant that biking to/from the office was the best way around. The building bike room was apparently full the entire time we were there so we just kept our bikes in our apartment. If you're worried about sound, pick a taller floor on the north side of the building. I enjoyed my view across HK - particularly given the fantastic sunsets we enjoyed daily. We recently left the building due to transferring outside of NYC - Otherwise my partner and I would have continued to live at The Victory beyond the 3 years we did.
I lived here for nearly 4 years and had nothing but good experiences. The staff is very friendly and the building is well kept. Having the gym and basketball court in the building was a huge time saver and the pricing was reasonable.
