I was in midtown and found The Warhorse out of the need for a coffee shop that opened until at least 7 PM, and BAM this cozy, hole-in-the wall cafe sprung up on me. It was a bit hard to find at first because there isn’t any obvious sign or indication once you get to The Goat Farm, so just follow the somewhat hidden steps until you reach an open space with outdoor seating. You may even pass a small lit bay of windows first photo below that will indicate you’ve arrived! IMPORTANT: Drinks are cash only. No cash? No worries! Their beverages are donation based anyways, simply pay a bit more for your coffee next time to compensate for the free one you got the first time like I did! It’s a wonderful honor system that will keep me coming! Cozy books, game boards, and vintage decor surrounding comfy, leather couches create the perfect study space. I’ll definitely be returning!
First, let me tell you that if it wasn't for people like Humza & Cora this place would not be half of what it is. Every single time I've come in for a great cup of coffee, tea or just to relax they have always treated me just like family. The place looks just like out of a movie set. Well kept and the vibes are what this city needs more of. Such a relaxing environment and my oh my can these guys have such stimulating conversations. I always leave this place with a big smile on my face, relaxed and rejuvenate. The coffee is a must. Every single time I've invited friends to join me here and try their coffee, they have always highly complimented it. Actually more often than not, they gotten an order to go before we leave. Yes, I know. 2 cups!!! That's how good it is. As a matter of fact not a single this served here is ever left behind. I've had the luxury of being here while the movie tour bus in Atlanta will make their stop. I've closely paid attention to people's reactions and it brings a smile to my face. It's like watching kids open up their xmas presents. They had no idea coffee or tea could possibly taste so good.
I wish I could review it. We went yesterday to the open house at The Goat Farm and my daughter, an Atlanta resident, was eager to have us get coffee at "this really cool place". When we approached the shop there were two big sandwich boards outside saying permits or passes were needed to enter the shop and that there was a vicious dog inside. She had never seen those signs before and we opted to not attempt to go in. Don't know if it was a joke or not, but we didn't want to deal with that type of "humor" on such a lovely day. And I guess it doesn't matter anyway since The Goat Farm is closing up in a few months anyway.
I love this place both as a coffee shop and as a place to unwind with a book, and it’s decor is like an old war bunker. Make sure to bring some cash if you plan on purchasing coffee or tea.
Cash only and pay by donation. Small little place but it’s not very well known so it’s not usually crowded. Great place to chill with a few people or study. There is plenty of outside seating as well.
What a cool place. This is for all you creatives out there, and all us daydreamers too. Comfy couches, chess sets, mancala, great tea, coffee, long table for crafting/sketching/typing, great music, and very nice people. I'm so glad I found this place.
The tea was great! You pay by donation only. Very relaxed atmosphere, it would be easy to spend hour here.
Great Place to hangout. Not much options in food and drinks though. Would definitely recommend to check out.
Most peaceful little coffee shop in Atlanta. Coffee is free with a donation and everyone is super nice.
Refreshing to be around real people. Great atmosphere. Cash only.
