Ever wanted to take a jet ski out of the ocean? Look no further! We did actually have to leave and come back, because as soon as we arrived, there was already a group of people ahead of us and they only had three jet skis and one guide out, so they told us to come back in the afternoon when that group was done. Other than that setback, this place was great. We were especially pleased with our guide; he was friendly, patient, great at helping everyone have a good time and gave us lots of space to speed, experiment and explore. He even took our picture on his phone and air dropped it to us after the ride! They have complimentary goggles we ended up being glad to have those! to keep the saltwater out of your eyes, and there's a lock box on each vehicle where you can stow your phone though I'd recommend putting it in a waterproof sleeve since the compartment is not air tight. Jet skiing in the ocean is rare and an incredible experience, especially with beautiful Haleiwa in the background. Definitely worth adding to your vacation plan!
So glad we chose to rent jet skis from here! Drove from Waikiki to the north shore so We would not have to ride in a circle and we were able to rip through the ocean on our own! Loved every minute of it. You will not be disappointed. The owner and the guy who took me and my husband out were awesome!
Best part of our entire trip! Have a 12yo who didn't want to go at all because she was scared of the jet skis. The staff was incredibly nice to her and in the end she loved it. Both the female at the kiosk and Tyler the instructor were amazing. I was a first time rider and this was the best experience HIGHLY recommend!!!!
Owner was very kind and explained how the skis worked while out of the water.. they looked to be in good condition. They were Yamaha wave runners. We rented three skis so launching took some time. They were not stored at the marina. Expect this if you are an early renter. If you rent late in the day, you can avoid some of the set-up time. Ride out of the harbour was about .5 miles and a no way zone. Once clear of the port, we got extra instructions regarding where to ride and rite of way. After that it was on. We had supervision but it was not overly restictive. My 4 guest and I ran those skis for almost an hour but it seemed like a long time to me considering my zero experience with jet skis. Had a blast. Ran 25 mph alot of the time and up to 41 or so for a short stretch. It would go faster but the conditions would not allow. Anyhow, it was a good time. FYI, they require a $350 deposit per ski.
Very nice experience! Chris was very helpful and personable, even took some photos for us. Rates were reasonable and 45 minutes was plenty of time to ride the Waverunner. We also got to see some sea turtles while we were out. This place is highly recommended!
Update 11/10/17: Came back to rent some kayaks and had a similar experience where we needed to wait about 25 minutes from the point that we got there to the time they got the kayaks loaded in the water for us. I will say though that at this point I am just noting it for others so people can plan accordingly for their day. The owner is really nice and her coworkers are her children and so far they have all been very friendly and accommodating. We paid $15 per person per hour for our kayaks they do honor groupon deal without going through Groupon which is $25 per person for 2 hours, we had 2 person kayaks and a single person kayak. All of their equipment has been quality and in excellent condition from their lifejackets to kayaks to goggles to jet skis. They weren't a stickler about us being over our hour by 10 minutes which was nice. The area that you kayak through is pretty- as you come out of the boat dock area, you go in through a little bit of the ocean and pass a bunch of fishermen, and then onto a river canal. We went around 12pm and had no issues with mosquitos I'd be the first to know, I'm always that friend that has mosquito bites when my companions don't Enjoyed our time jet skiing. Things to note: $350 per jet ski refundable damage deposit $100 per 45 minutes $10 per tandem passenger Life jackets and goggles were included. Large area to jet ski in with a lot of opportunities to see turtles. We saw 2 during our time. Friendly staff Will go again. Only complaint- they don't take reservations, only first come first served. When we got there we paid and signed paperwork and then the employee left in a vehicle to go get the jet skis and her coworker as the jet skis weren't already loaded in the water. It took about 25 minutes, my husband, daughter and I just waiting and had no idea it would take that long. Thought she'd be back in a minute, thought she was just going to load the trailer with her skis around the parking lot. On the other hand, when they got there we said we were really thirsty, feeling dehydrated and they waited about 5 minutes for us to go grab some waters right across the street. Luckily we're on vacation aloha time, so this experience wasn't too bad. Back in the mainland though, I'd cut out a business for this.
Anna and Lisa were great, and I had a absolute blast riding the waverunner!
Family owned and operated. First come first serve. Hands down my favorite experience on the island. Just the right amount of instruction and freedom for jetskiing. Highly recommend. Only Haleiwa Harbor or North Shore jetski rentals available.
Waited for an hour for them to open when it says they open at 11. Get there to find out that they operate on a “we open when we get here” kind of schedule. The lady was not polite at all and to rent a jet ski was $100 PLUS a $350 deposit for just a 45 minute ride which is not found on their website and they do not tell you when you call.
Definitely the best place to ride wave runners on Oahu. Other places force you to stay in a bay and ride a circle. Rented 2 for my son and I, had a blast and plenty of space to open them up.
