It may not be the best skatepark in the world but it's an iconic spot that everyone should visit at least once in their lives. And it actually does have a lot of good little things to skate. Oh, and that gap that Jagger Eaton did a backside 180 over is legit huge.
We had a great time so much fun we took a lunch , great benches and shade . The play area is covered and has a good variety for kids to enjoy . A baseball court is a nice surface here. the skate park is really nice , there a fantastic fountain . And my girls had. A blast finding snails and . The park has a great volleyball net . It's a beautiful park we are looking forward to going back soon .
Exciting place for all kids using varied of things like skateboards bikes scooters drones remote control cars etc etc. Take the kids cos it's also fun to eat h the kids run around
1981 to now 2022 I've been using this place to have fun take risks and enjoy people around us it's good place to go if you got children that like to do skating or biking.
Love the wedge go at night tho older crowds.
I've been skating at The Wedge long before the skatepark was there. It is what it is as far as how it was built. I wish the bowl transition was built better, but at least they updated it with new flat bars. It'd be nice if they put more lights on the south side of the park, but for it being an open-air skatepark with no fence, I really can't complain.
Fun place to skate for roller skaters. Plenty of flat ground to practice on and many ramps and small bowls to try. A bit busy during early evening but nice crowd. I had a bad fall yesterday off a ramp but so many of the amazing skaters there jumped in to help me. Awesome experience for all ages and types of skaters. Will definitely be back.
On previous visits I did not care for the skate park. Other parks appeared to be used by a more diverse group. Today it included what I felt had been missing. Many adults brought children. Students at the Wedge did their homework prior to using the facilities. The age differences varied from preschoolers to adults A four? year old had all the intensity and dedication shown by older attendees. There were plenty of serious females.
Eldorado and Wedge are the best spots that I found so far versus the rest of Chaparral Park. It has an awesome playground with quality sand, a really cool picnic Island, and a super bodacious skatepark! And dude in an ice cream truck rolled up at just the right minute. Shout out to Ice Cream Honey and his little magic school bus!
Love how smooth the park is. It’s got decent flow, plenty of space. If I remember correctly it’s missing a manual pad and flat box to practice ledge tricks. There is a ledge not on flat ground that is fun to skate though. Nice flat rails, the transition is really mellow on the ramps, good for learning tricks on. Wish this park was closer.
