We went for the long shot and struck a major hidden gem in the Las Vegas area. Yes its a culinary school but it's sponsored and maintained by MGM resorts the food quality and the cuts of meat were exceptional and the price OMG all this food, 2 drinks and 2 desserts for around $42 the Salmon alone would be that much at some of these MGM properties
Excellent service, hardly anyone here at this hidden gem! And the items I ordered, the Crispy Spinach Salad, and the Shrimp Pomodoro, well presented and delicious!
I just finished my course here at the academy and westside bistro was so affordable and everything was so good. I mean really good. This most likely the most affordable place in all of Vegas.
I came here for an early lunch. They open at 11 am. It's a culinary restaurant where a head chef trains other chefs to cook and serve excellent food. It's $9.00 for buffet and I believe kids under 7 eat for free. We had a buy one get one free coupon at this awesome place, so that saved us money. The waiters and waitresses were nice and were good about refilling our drinks. I honestly felt like royalty eating here. It's fancy and the food here was excellent.
Everyday is a different menu. I got to try the gumbo, rice, catfish, mashed potatoes, chicken and jalapeño corn bread. I enjoyed everything except the catfish. Cat fish was really dry because it sat under a heated lamp. Gumbo was good with the rice. Mashed potatoes were soft and fresh. The corn bread was moist and perfect. I was getting full because everything was so filling. I washed my food with a Diet Coke. For dessert I had a strawberry mousse that tasted like a peanut butter mousse as well. It was topped with a crunchy sweet crouton. It was delicious! My daughter had a pumpkin pie and a chocolate brownie. I didn't get to try it but my daughter enjoyed it.
We have been going here for a few years now, along with a number of co-workers we told about it. After finally reopening after the pandemic, they have changed the menu, which is now nothing worth mentioning, unlike before, and they have significantly raised the prices. Unfortunately, it looks like none of us will go there anymore. We all agree that it is very disappointing because it was the best place for lunch in a part of town that has very limited choices.
Wide variety of food on the menu, incredible prices, friendly service. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
From what I gather this is a culinary school in which the students practice in the on-site restaurant for consumers. Great price, good food. You can easily get a meal for under $10.
This Grilled Flat Bread is amazing!!! I haven’t ate here since before Covid and The Westside Bistro has NOT disappointed. Will be back soon. Thank you for this delicious lunch!
This place is great. The food never disappoints and it's really nice seeing how hard the students work to provide a top notch experience.
