Customer service was great!!! Ordered chicken and brisket. The chicken wings were awesome...smoked then fried...crispy and juicy...brisket is juicy and full of flavor. I tried the ribs from a friends plate and those are meaty, juicy and full of smoke flavor. Portions are big.
I've known the family that owns The Wood Pit for over 20 years. Great food. The owner's son was very welcoming. The ribs and mac and cheese were to die for. I loved the casual dive atmosphere.
Great Staff and Amazing food. Recommend the Brisket, Beans, and corn bread. Everything from the Staff, food and Atmosphere makes you feel like you are a families house.
It was okay. The chopped barbecue needed a little more seasoning. The ribs were nice and tender, however, they were a little burnt. The mac and cheese was very well prepared. The greens were seasoned well. The cornbread was tasty, a little brown under the bottom. Overall, I would eat here again, just wouldn't be my first choice.
The best BBQ I've had on the east coast! Ribs were delicious and the wings are HUGE. Brisket and collared greens were very good as well. The only gripe with the place is they have very few seats to eat inside and the tables are very close together. Highly recommended if you love BBQ!
