Great coffee spot located on a busy street. I recently stopped by on an early Sunday and the line was almost out the door. My friends and I ordered a regular coffee, espresso shot and a matcha latte. Prices are reasonable for DC and service was really quick. I’ll definitely be back for their breakfast pastries
I’ve had good experiences the first few times I’ve stopped by for breakfast, but this time was just the worst. $12 for avocado toast and it’s covered in so much oil I used 4 napkins to wipe it off. It’s completely soggy with oil. I unfortunately didn’t notice until I walked home to eat. The coffee is good, but get the breakfast sandwich instead.
Good coffee, great scones I had the cherry almond, good amount of fruit and a bit of sugar icing on top...all to the good! and nice location with comfortable indoor seating, some tables outside and a roll open garage style door/window in the front for nice weather.
The flavor of the coffee is exquisite. The coffee is so good it needs no sugar or cream. Be sure to order a orange cranberry muffin. The sugar layer has a wonderful crunch to the warm fruit flavors inside. Atmosphere is casual urban. Wydown coffee bar is a must visit when close to U street in DC.
Legitimately the worst cappuccino I've ever had. Charged extra for oat milk and got a tiny macciaho-size/40ml or so drink with a dollop of hot foam on top, not mixed in. Tasted super bitter too. I sincerely hope they were training a new employee because if not, that's embarrassing. Two stars because the staff were friendly, cool atmosphere, and good beans. Just simply the worst cappuccino ever.
I decided to stop in here on morning on my way home and then, wow - not only does Wydown Coffee have great coffee but they bake their own pastries! They're delicious and quite possiblely some of the best in the District. My go to is a cortado with their signature carrot cake scone. You will not be disappointed. I'm probably getting fat stopping here almost everyday - but it's absolutely worth it.
My favorite coffee place in the U st corridor. Great chai or lattes. Makes a proper cappuccino and usually pretty fast. I wouldn’t recommend settling in to work here, but good for a quick stop and go.
Great coffee and breakfast treats, with friendly and helpful service too! I'm a sucker for the cinnamon oat latte and the cinnamon rolls are worth the hype. Scones are also great. I'd recommend ordering online ahead of time though plenty of people also seem to order at the counter.
The service here is incredible!! The baristas are so friendly and take great care in their craft. Amazing coffee and ambiance! Best coffee in DC.
Dry biscuit sandwich. I subbed chipotle Mayo and couldn’t even taste the Mayo. They have a great oat milk latte, they charge $6 for it and don’t fill up the cup all the way. Not worth the price.Recommended dishesSausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit
