I love this place! We started sessions when it was Theraplay. Both of my children receive therapy PT and speech. All the therapists are so dedicated, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They do a great job at making the environment feel welcoming, and accommodating children with special needs. My daughter is always looking forward to her next session with Krista and I can see she has made significant progress. I’m so thankful we found them and would highly recommend taking your children here. Thank you Ivy Rehab for Kids!
We used to love Theraplay! My son has been a patient since 2019! However definitely has gone down hill since the merger. They canceled our appointments three times in a span of one week due to lack of staffing.
My family has been SO impressed with Theraplay at Limerick!! The therapists are very kind, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable. My son has an incredible bond with his speech therapist and always looks forward to seeing her! The staff at the front desk are always warm and welcoming, and we love that they treat us like family. We couldn’t be more thankful to have such an amazing team close to home.
My review mainly has to do with their covid precautions, or lack there of. The staff was pleasant and the care we received from the physical therapist was fine. I felt they could have taken WAY more precautions to prevent the spread of covid. They have multiple families wait in the waiting room together. Many of the staff members were wearing ill-fitting masks. We were asked to fill out paperwork and make payments upon arrival, which could have been completed over the phone / prior to check-in. Families visiting were not required to wear CDC approved masks people were wearing bandannas and such. Overall, there was just a lot of seemingly unnecessary traffic. Ultimately, we were fine and did not get covid, but they could definitely work on the logistics to make their process smoother and safer. We won’t be returning. Lastly, I read in another review that the therapists discuss diagnosis and progress in the waiting room - which they did. I heard a child’s entire progress report while sitting in the waiting room. Which I did fine pretty inappropriate.
All of the staff at Theraplay are extremely helpful, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I couldn't appreciate their professionalism and dedication more. At each and every visit they explain the stretches/exercises that they're doing for my son and teach me how to do them for my son at home. They answer all of my questions, and always provide me with information and knowledge to better understand my son's condition. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Theraplay in Limerick!
I wish we could have had a different experience, However we have had two negative experiences. Has nothing to do with Covid either. They are unorganized and some staff unprofessional. Why would it ever be okay to discuss your child’s development in the lobby about my child or even anyone else’s for that matter. The scheduling is a mess , they gave us several appointments scheduled out which was fine however they then said oh sorry we scheduled him for the wrong therapy and then had to find new dates and time. This is just two interactions that’s turned us away. There Covid steps are fine , but they let my child and I stand outside for 15 minutes before anyone even knew we were there and we even called to be let in, no one knew what to do and then two ladies that work there walked right past the door and stared and then left . The lack of communication , unorganized and unprofessional manner they discuss child in is not okay with us.
This organization has zero macro level organizational management practices. No billing issues can be managed at the branch level. If you encounter a problem in billing, you will be told to call the main Billing Department. After 50+ messages and calls over a 3 month timespan, we could never get a return phone call. Even the local branch manager, as recently as June 2018, could not get main Billing at Theraplay to answer her phone calls or return her call. This organization wasted our time for months trying to resolve a $30 balance on our account. In March 2018, Dan in Main billing assured us that he personally had put a credit on our account for the disputed amount and that we would never ever owe Theraplay another cent for services rendered from September 2017 to March 2018. June 2018 we receive a statement from them with the same balance. After months of them playing games, we finally just paid the same balance again - although our account had already been credited. It was easier to have them out of our lives than continue to dispute $30. If you have ANY alternative other than Theraplay to receive therapeutic services for your child, I recommend you investigate them fully. They might provide satisfactory services at the branch, but you will be unable to hold them accountable for any of their disorganization at the managerial level.
Save yourself headache and do not send your child here... i was lied to on two different occasions, no one knows their own policys. Making an appointment is a joke, worst system ever.. theropists are great but the company in whole is horrible. I had only fusterations from the few times we attended. They need organizational skills and more training. Would give a negative star if i could
Everyone is so nice and caring!
Very friendly and nice staff there. The therapists are really helping my son with his walking there.
