We celebrated our Mom’s/Grandma’s 80th birthday on Friday night. The food was very tasty, great, and delicious. My siblings had ordered various food dishes for all of us to enjoy. Wonderful and pretty atmosphere with other groups of people were also celebrating birthdays as well. Was a busy place. We commuted from Salem and met our family here for dinner and was great. Love the staff members as they were helpful, friendly, and nice. A staff member was very sweet and offered to take a family photo for me. Hope to eat here someday again. Thank you, had a great experience. For all the 1 star reviews for service, I think those people need to understand this is a Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant so their culture of customer service may be different than American service with that said I rate them a 5 stars for service. They are always attentive, prompt and food comes out within 10 mins. I’ve always had a good experience and I highly recommend the crispy eggplant.
AMAZING! Dim Sum!!. I almost do not want to share this slice of heaven. Steam carts and all. I would say as good if not better than Yang Sing in SF. The prices are great also! Don't go it's not for you! I do not want to share!Food: 5/5
The dim sum here is simply delicious, with a wide variety of steamed, fried, and baked items to choose from. The dumplings are particularly noteworthy - they're packed with flavorful fillings and expertly crafted wrappers. But that's not all this restaurant has to offer. The soup here is also excellent. Whether you're in the mood for something light and brothy or something more hearty and filling, you're sure to find a soup that hits the spot. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal of dim sum and soup.
The food was PhoKing Delicious!!! Had some spring rolls and beef pho. Broth was very flavorful and you could taste the spices. Not a bad spot located next to WinCo @82nd/Powell. Staff is very friendly, and they have a range of Vietnamese and Chinese food options. Kid and family friendly for sure. I'll be back. Again, forgot to take pictures of the food, I was hungry, so I have to remember next time.
Simply the best in Oregon. They keep getting better with the food and customer service. Now they serve Dimsum!
Pretty solid food here. The spacing of tables are good and the place is big enough that it gives that feeling of openness. The food came out pretty quick and was enjoyable. We ordered beef with green beans, sizzling beef ribs with black bean sauce, and pepper salted squid. My friend really enjoyed the pepper salted squid and I enjoyed both the beef dishes. Overall, a solid meal and I would come back again.
This combination of Vietnamese and Chinese food has the best offerings of classic traditional dishes. The hot and sour soup is excellent. The crispy tofu drenched in oyster sauce with Chinese Broccoli simply lovely. Walnut Shrimp, a very tasty treat. Even the fried rice is a cut above the rest.
Outstanding meal as always! Generous portions with exquisitely prepared fresh ingredients. I have yet to order an appetizer, soup, or entree that has let me down. One of the best restaurants for Vietnamese and Chinese food in Portland. And possibly the whole of the Pacific Northwest! Can't go wrong ordering Happy Family, Pho w/Eye of Round Steak, Vermicelli & Grilled Pork, Chicken & Snow Peas, Spicy Green Beans, or the Shumai a must order earlier in the day when Dim Sum is served - hand made, large, plump, steamed to perfection.
Christmas Day, we came to visit your restaurant. We decided that we wanted to have some Vietnamese coffee after our lunch. The restaurant was less than 3/8 occupied. We instructed the staff at the entry that we were only coming for a post lunch coffee. We were initially seated at a large round table. The waitress brought menus and we politely explained that we wouldn’t be eating and only wanted to enjoy some beverages. This is where the hostility began. Out of nowhere, she brashly demands that we move from the table we were already sat at by her for coffee, and has us relocate to a slightly smaller table allegedly to make room for larger groups to eat. Side note: This is 2PM and after the lunch-rush. We politely obliged, and yet were brashly pushed to start giving our order before we could even sit down. Upon being seated at the smaller table, the waitress rudely demanded that we pay and leave because we weren’t at Starbucks. We were surprised considering we had already explained we came for their Vietnamese coffee several times. Obviously, if the location was busy we wouldn’t come in for drinks alone. However, it was SLOW and already 2 PM. Anyone who’s worked at a restaurant knows between 2-5Pm is usually down time— so a family requesting six dollar coffees is going to rack up a minimum of 30 dollars which is about the price of two plates of food. East money. You’d be making a profit on low maintenance ticket items at a time when you have fewest customers.. I’d argue this was a Bone-headed move by your staff! Worst was the negative American comment and not being Starbucks remarks. We didn’t ask for anything off-menu. We didn’t ask for any special accommodations. We were polite despite overt rudeness up until the end when we were told that we weren’t welcome to enjoy our paid beverages inside. So, I had enough and instructed my family leave. I’m not going to argue. You obviously don’t want business. There is a reason why neighboring restaurants have hour long waits and others like yours are empty— it’s bad food scores. Hygiene, or terrible service. Maybe all three. Our family can certainly attest to the terrible service component. Not interested in giving your place a chance going forward.
