The best thing about Thirsty Dice is the wide variety of games. They have everything from cooperative to competitive board games and there's really something for everyone. They even have people dedicated to helping you choose games and explaining how to play. Unfortunately, the food and service weren't exceptional. The menu had many dishes that look great but most of the food was lacking flavor. The chicken needed more seasoning, the waffles were okay but we had to ask for syrup, the cinnamon roll was dry, and the eggs were bland. The "best brunch ever" is a good deal for the mimosas and access to the game library, but the food missed the mark.
Nice board game cafe with a big library of board games to play with friends. On my last visit to play board games with friends, I ordered a hazelnut coffee and bang bang ban mi. Hazelnut coffee was sweet and aromatic. Everyone around could notice that I was drinking something delicious simply through the aroma. I assumed the sandwich would be spicy but it was quite bland but good healthy food otherwise. This place provides a great atmosphere to play games with your friends.
This is a board game restaurant. It's a full service restaurant and for $5/person more you get access to all their board games. We went for Sunday Brunch and they do offer a special menu from 10:00am-2:00pm. They have a huge selection of board games and usually someone on staff to be the "game master" and help you understand the rules of games if you aren't familiar. The staff is nice and the food is decent. Would recommend getting a reservation as it can get busy. We had the red velvet waffles and biscuits and gravy.
Had an amazing time playing some retro games. Food was good, was glad for the vegan options. Great setting for friends and family to meet up and have a fun night.
Came to this place at 9:45 PM. At the front counter, they told us they had no room for walk-ins, and that I would've needed to have made a reservation because they were booked up for the night. I thanked them, then stood there on my phone and made a reservation for 10 PM. They tried to tell me I made the reservation for another location, but at that point I handed over my phone to show this person I indeed had a reservation at the location we were standing in. After being seated, our waitress came over. She was SUPER nice, and I wish I could name drop, but I don't remember her name. We ordered alcoholic beverages, and my friend some Parm fries. When she got her fries, she said they were really good. Our waitress came over to tell us that 10:30 was the last call for everything. So, at this point we ordered ice cream, and I ordered chicken nachos. The ice cream came out, and we continued playing our games. Near 11 o'clock, I realized I didn't have my nachos, and I literally saw the kitchen shutting down. So, I asked my waitress if my nachos were coming, and she told me yes, not to worry. I watched her walk away and look on her order tablet, and she quickly walked back to tell me that she forgot to put in my order. She was very apologetic, and even offered to comp our ice creams. Which she did, on top of giving us free library passes admission to play the games. While seated from 10-12, I asked our waitress for napkins 4 times, and never got any. I Eventually had to get up and get my own. No AC?! It was a rather hot and humid night... There was NO AC running. I mentioned to one of the people who worked there, and they said the owner said it was supposed to get fixed. It was sticky, and icky in there, which tainted my experience further. Seriously, it was notably hot. One of the people who worked there mentioned they aren't allowed to wear shorts. That's a sin, especially if you can't keep your establishments AC working on hot days. The concept of this place is cool though. It's kinda like, they're hosting game night for you, and providing the space and the games. The menu is very simple, nothing fancy at all. You are also able to buy some games too. I would return here maybe when it's not so hot, just in case the AC isn't running again, and I'd come early enough where I don't have to worry about being forgotten about before last call.
This place has solid food options and a great selection of games! Their brunch rosemary biscuits and gravy are to die for. I wish they had a couple more vegan options but what they do have was pretty tasty. I wish that you had to play a flat rate per table and not per person to rent games. If you're a large group you end up paying too much to try out a new game. Take advantage of the staffs knowledge of games to learn a new game.
My wife and I had a fantastic time at Thirsty Dice. Fantastic atmosphere and the staff were amazing. Especially impressed with the knowledge the staff have of the games. They were quick to help in assisting us with games that we weren’t familiar with and had some great suggestions for games to try during our visit. The drinks were awesome! The food was good as well. The chicken nachos were our favorite. We will definitely be back!
Amazing spot. Hundreds of awesome games you can play at your table - they've got EVERYTHING even all of the niche or super long/complex games, and everything in between. Games are very well organized and rated on multiple scales genre, difficulty, time required, number of players, etc so you can find the perfect fit for your evening. The food is great and the beer is delicious. The staff are super helpful, friendly and kind: they will assist in teaching you the rules of any game you find! Very very warm / homey spot with great atmosphere and lots of fun to be had.
I had the most amazing time at Thirsty Dice. There are so many great games to play. Over 800!!! I had their shrimp tacos and they were delicious! I also tried the “Cat lady martini” and it was such a good drink, but what really made my night was Vivian - my server and she was absolutely amazing!!! So kind and did a fabulous job taking care of us. She’s available Tues-Sun. I highly recommend this place for a fun, chill date or to hang out with friends. I will definitely be returning with friends and family.
Great atmosphere excellent customer service and good food. The games there makes it more fun.
