Tidewater Central Church of the Nazarene

What a time of worship and teaching. We were there this morning for worship service. My son n law and daughter, grandkids are living in Virginia Beach. He is stationed there. My other daughter and I came from SC for a short visit. Blown away by the Spirit led music and message. Everyone was welcoming and kind. Pastor and his wife are such a blessing. If we lived close we would definitely be in the local body of Christ there.

I have always received a warm welcome when attending a service or event here. The people are loving and there is a family atmosphere. I’d recommend checking out this church if you’re in the area.

Our "home" church in Virginia Beach. Welcomes all! Pastor Dillon surprisingly remembered all of our names after our first visit and gets to know everyone. Military families are common, but there are plenty of civilian families as well. Teen and children groups are a good size, you can feel good about bringing your kids, and they socialize with other Christians their age. Hispanic services are offered as well check out Renacer Con Cristo. This really became our family and a central part of our lives while we lived in the area.

When the pastor & his wife personally watch your child and make you dinner & dessert, because they know you're going through a tough time and you won't ask for help, you know you've found a church that knows & understands the heart of God Our family is so thankful to be involved with a church that exemplifies what Family & the Body of Christ really is. First time attending. Had a Welcoming environment. Made to feel like family from everyone we came in contact with. Toddlers, teens, young adults and seniors were all present. Church for all ages of worship.

This is my second visit. Pastor and parishioners are sincerely welcoming. I thoroughly enjoy the Bible based teaching and service. This church is truly a house of prayer!

Best church in Hampton Roads! I absolutely LOVE this church. Sunday morning worship is filled with nothing but pure joy. If I don't go one Sunday my whole week is off balance. Great music and words to live by, from the preacher Bill Dillon.

First the staff seemed to struggle with their own baby check in system. Then wife and I take daughter to nursery and tell the lady don't hold her too much. Let her go and walk around. As we leave I turn around to peek and she was still holding her. I leave anyway to give Ruth a chance. Moments later they pull me out of service to tell me my daughter wont stop crying. I get her from the same lady I left her with, who seemed to have held her the whole time, and our daughter had tears rolling down her cheeks. Our daughter is very loveable towards others. I just wish people would listen and let my daughter walk around and not hold her.

Cant dance, celebrate,and I have to have a dress code. Jesus dances. Jesus celebrated. Jesus didnt have a dress code. And i dont like being looked down on cause what i wear. Not the church for me. If I could give it no stars I would.

We have found a church home at Tidewater. It’s a wonderful place to worship the Lord! There are Sunday school classes and weekly programs for all ages.
