Time & Again

Story

Time & Again Antiques was conceived by Gloria Zimmerman and Daryl Mal in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, New York in March of 1985. Jeffrey Zimmerman took over the business in 1989. He moved the operation to Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, then the heart of the exploding Wholesale/Retail antiques district and converted the “antiques store" into a wholesale/retail outlet selling fine art and furniture to antiques dealers across America and all over Europe.

Jeff Zimmerman's antiques business acumen was acquired from the bottom up working for some of the most well-known and successful dealers at the time including Aladdin Antiques, Smitty's Fine Furniture, Bernstein's, Associated Antiques, Sack's Antiques, Antiques Plus and Ronald F. Tyler Antiques. In 1996, with great insight into the changing antiques market and with an eye towards the burgeoning auction mentality precipitated by growth of eBay, Mr. Zimmerman expanded the business and moved it out to Linden, New Jersey. Under the guidance of Abbe Lasker and Hilary Lasker-Scheer, Time & Again Auction Galleries was born.

At the beginning, we featured quarterly sales, now Time & Again Galleries features 2 sales per month offering over 1200 lots. Our auction is held live at the gallery and posted on-line via several on-line auction companies including Live Auctioneers, Proxibid, the Sale-room, iCollector, and AuctionZip. Our online exposure has helped Time & Again Galleries capture and captivate thousands of loyal online clients that purchase over and over again. Our strong on-line presence has greatly increased competitive bidding at our sales. At present, our growing satisfied consignor base is up over 1500. We are definitely doing something right!

Our advertising campaigns for each sale are extensive and tailored to the focus of each particular sale. Aside from our huge on-line exposure including our own web site, Facebook and Twitter, we utilize the strength of the trade papers to attract "the antique collector" who religiously read the Antiques & the Arts Weekly, the Antique Trader, the Maine Digest and others. We also advertise in the New York Times as well as the local and international ethnically focused publications.

The Gallery is a mid-level auction house that offers full service to our clients. Our focus is to reach as many prospective buyers as possible getting optimum prices for the client. Our fees are comparatively low. Each and every item being offered is photographed, measured and described in detail before it goes on display in the Gallery and posted to our web-site. Payments to all consignors are paid within a 45 day period of time if not sooner.

We accept consignments, purchase outright, provide partial and complete estate removal as well as appraisals and cleanouts and on-site house sales. Our gallery is open daily with over 5000 sq. ft filled with merchandise for sale.

Time & Again Galleries does it all. We have decades of experience and knowledge and pride ourselves on delivering the best customer care in the business.
