Excellent food and service here. Make a reservation because they aren’t open very many hours but it’s perfect for before a show. They will make sure you’re ready to go with enough time to get to your seats. Very fun! We got the asparagus soup and gnocchi. Both wonderful. And started with the Brie. Would recommend all three. Will go here before every show we see at the Eccles!
The service was amazing and very attentive. Unfortunately, my wife and I felt that the cost was not worth the quality or portion size. We ordered the Dijon Chicken and French Country Salad w/ Chicken for dinner which came out in good time, but the salad had too much dressing on it. We did the sweet potato fries and really enjoyed them, but the wedges were too thick and soft. The éclair was one from Costco and said with berries, but came with one raspberry. For two people to for $103 before tip, we felt it would have been spent better else were.
I asked the server to help me identify something that I could eat, while addressing a particular food allergy. After a few moments, the chef came to the table to discuss some options, and I had the most amazing and flavorful chicken kebab I've ever had! The meal was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying them out! They're not the cheapest in town, but you won't be disappointed.
We dined at Tim Angel prior to a show. It was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. When we arrived we were left at the entrance for a few minutes. When we were finally seated it was a few minutes before we saw a server. We ordered drinks. They were good. The food was horrible. We sent one dish back. The food was skimpy, lukewarm, flavorless, and unattractive. The server was nice but hard to find when we needed her. No one was in a hurry. I see so many good reviews and we loved Tin Angel before it moved. Hopefully this was just an off night.
We decided to go here before the show. This place was terrible. They name their dishes something that sounds classy and expensive and then they price it to match the name. When the food comes, it's nothing more than some chunks of beef in a packaged gravy over instant mashed potatoes Beef Bourguignon $28.50. My wife ordered the Sole Meuniere $28.50. She took one bite and sent it back. We will never eat here again.
If you want to eat in a rush with no consideration of your enjoying a dinner, this is the place for you. Ie, what do you want b4 seeing menu, serve salad with meal, not b4. Get in and get out, please. Don't ask for a fork for eating your dessert. Eat warmed over food that was prepared ahead of time. And don't get me started on the TOUGH baklava. This restaurant has lost its mojo. In fairness, I did eat and drink everything served. The bottled beer was good.
The food was delightful. I got the spinach soup. It was very light and had great flavor and texture. The duck tacos were yummy. The steak salad is his favorite dish anywhere. This was the best steak salad he has ever had. Price to quality ratio is great. We left with a $58 tab. We spend that much at other places and have had less satisfying food. The creme brulee tart was yummy.
Needless to say, their presentation is excellent. For a restaurant that calls itself a Cafe the quality of the food was great, their special was a NY Strip that was cooked and seasoned well with good sides and a small portion of Lobster meat! The duck confiet over risotto was also quite good. I would highly recommend the iced black mint tea and their "famous" bread pudding, both were delicious.
Long drive from Moab and wanted a light meal and walking distance from our hotel: Tin Angel was a block away in the Eccles Performing Arts complex. The complex gets great entertainment, so check this out Re: reserving tickets! We enjoyed our meal- pork tacos, a shrimp skewer dish, and one other appetizer. They were filling enough for 2 and all very good. I had a delicious glass of red wine, in a Cote du Rhône style- excellent! Our server was great!
Eclectic, fun, nice patio and tasty creative food! Cantaloupe, mint cold ‘soup’, very delicious! What a great find, hiding in plain sight. And the service....impeccable! Parking behind and on the street, handicap accessible. A bit pricey for lunch. Be sure to check out the art gallery, very interesting.
