I'll let my co-workers description stand. "Panda Express is better than this place." I had the Sesame chicken, there was lots of rice with an overwhelming amount of sauce, very little chicken but, the broccoli was nice. The flavor of the sauce was off and I didn't like it. I also ordered the coconut soup which appeared to be made with dairy milk or cream as it was very thick and heavy with not much typical coconut soup flavor, and while I like scallions it was a few too many for my taste. Certainly not one I'd go back for. They did have nice fresh thick mushrooms in the soup. I also ordered the pot stickers. These are really small, fried pot stickers and cost $3 for three of them, they were neither good, satisfying or worth the price. The real issue however, was the service. I was the first to order of a group of 4 people, I was the last to receive my order, it was not very busy when we ordered but, it took over 30 minutes to get our food. We noticed groups of people that came in after us leave before we even received our food. When I finally did get my food, they forgot my soup, I received my soup a few minutes later but sans any utensils to eat it with (kind of hard to eat soup with chop sticks), because they don't have utensils sitting around for you to grab I needed to wait for the server to come back around. In the end I ate my soup after my entree. It was over $16 for all of this and a drink. Not even close to worth it.

Nice location on Tech's campus. Accessible by the trolley. Tables and floor weren't very clean. Half of the staff was enthusiastic, the other half seemed upset to be there. Good food.

Have had awful experiences multiple times whether it be food taking forever or small amounts of chicken or some combination of both. I’m a Tech student vow to never go again it was so bad no matter how close it is to campus.

Waste of potential. This restaurant chain is by far one of my favorites but the service at this location is full of laziness and attitude. I eat vegan and special request will make or break my loyalty. I eat at this location frequently out of want/necessity two to four times a week. To start the cashier, Tiakka, who works the evening shifts on Monday - Wednesday has consistently had a bad attitude, aggravated demeanor, and has literally scoffed at a special request that I have made. The manager who works the same shift, Courney, has a special kind of disrespect that infuriates me with the strength of 10,000 suns!!!! I enjoy Thai tea with 1 oz of Coconut milk because I cannot have coffee creamer. I know this is a special request but at the FIVE other Tin Drums that I have dined this request has been satisfied. Upon requesting 1 oz. of Coconut milk she told me that they have it but she will not give it to me. After mentioning that I would be happy to pay for the inconvenience she told me that she is just not going to do it! On another day which I have made the same request she recognized me and said, "We do not have Coconut milk. I'm not going to give it to you so, stop asking." I love the food, I love this chain, but the service at this location is preventing this restaurant from having a line out the door.

I gave this place another try. The visit prior, my service was poor as well as the food quality. I should have stuck with my opinion on this. I ordered Massaman Curry, something that I have eaten at many Asian restaurants. The sauce was very thin with not a lot of flavor. Curries are a dish that the layers of flavor explode in your mouth. This lacked even a little crackle. Served with this is a side of rice. I know from MUCH experience cooking rice that many things were done wrong. There was too much water when the rice was cooked, the grains were overly puffed and clumped together. Then the rice was left with the cover off, and the outer layer of the rice allowed to dry out.
Overall, the meal was simply a mess and not worth a return visit. Most Atlanta restaurants excel at mediocrity, but Tin Drum has failed to even shoot for that.
