Tinkerspace is full of resources and ideas for self-directed play and imaginations. I appreciate Kathleen's fun projects as well as the freedom for children to explore, think, and experiment. If you have a child who loves doing art and creative work, this is a place for him/her to enjoy and get inspired. There are plenty of art and craft materials that you can try your hand on as well as toys and puzzles for you to try. It is a great children's museum. They offer both classes by age, summer camps, and open studio hours. My toddler LOVES every bit of it. Highly recommend!
We absolutely LOVE Tinkerspace! My children can spend hours crafting and creating anything they can imagine. The weekly themes and different engineering challenges are so fun and keep my kids entertained in the best way. It's a win win! The membership is the way to go, worth every penny!
We LOVE Tinkerspace. My twin 9 year old daughters had a fantastic time creating a fairy garden. One of my girls also made a race car and a stop motion movie that they emailed me. My other daughter made an aquarium and a mini playground. The staff were so helpful. We will definitely drive up from our home in Orange County for another afternoon of STEM fun! We definitely got our money's worth!
This is a great indoor kids space for crafting and science/engineering play. They encourage imagination play with their large Lego table and cardboard box fort. My daughter also loves to play with their fairy garden.
The Open Studio time was perfect for both my 7 and 11 year olds to create and build!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
TinkerSpace was a great place for my kids to tinker and explore. We went a few weeks ago, during the Harry Potter-themed week, and the themed crafts and activities did not disappoint - my boys made bubbling potions and homemade wands, got to write with quills, and more. My 8-year-old says, "my favorite HP activity was making the wand, but of their "regular" activities, my favorite part was the coding." He spent well over an hour working on the computer to code an animation showing animals playing a game of tag, with the guidance of a staff member. They also dabbled in Legos and Lego robotics, stop-motion animation, a marble run, open-ended play with a fairy garden, and more - we spent all afternoon there, and they were still disappointed when it was time to go! My 5-year-old says, "for HP, I liked potions best, but for "regular" stuff I liked the Legos!" The staff provided a good level of instruction, while letting the kids work things out for themselves, and I enjoyed being present without having to tell my kids what to do! They are excited to return again soon!
Tinkerspace is fun! My two boys ages 6 and 9 had a great time exploring. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful and encouraging. We'll definitely come back again soon!
My 10 year old says "best place ever! " So why is Disneyland charging me so much for annual passes??
Themed events and activities. Lots of different things to do. Great for kids to spend the summer or time off school
