Toadstool Geological Park and Campground

It was a very interesting drive in from Ardmore South Dakota, if you only have a car do not attempt from this direction. The road has deep cut ruts most of the 12 miles. I would also not recommend attempting it from either direction if a good rain has fallen. Sioux county needs to learn what gravel is. The park is nice and a couple hour visit you can see most of what is there. A lot of cool rock formations. Bring water as it gets very hot in this area. Well worth the 3 bucks to see.

Awesome!!! Not trying to freak anyone out, but there are snakes to watch out for. Just blows my mind what time and erosion does to landscapes. A great place to spend several hours.
