Tollgate Inn

First time here. We were sat right away, greeted within minutes, and the waitress was very friendly. Our food was very good and very hot. We found this restaurant by accident and I would say we will definitely be back again... this time we will save room for some pie.

We've been here many times for dinner and I'm always reminded it's the luck of the draw. Sometimes the food is very good and service OK+. Sometimes I leave wishing I'd sent my order back. Sometimes the service is laughable. The stuffed porkchops are the sleeper bargain on the menu. My wife always orders them. The pork ribs are usually good; however last night I should have sent them back but didn't want to embarrass my wife. They were badly overdone, dry and chewy. If you get one of the younger set for wait staff they are rather indifferent. Training is obviously lacking. Waited until the end of the meal to get my water refilled. Waited until our salads were gone to get the included bread (why doesn't it show up first???) And the place was nearly empty, so none is too busy. But the rolls are fresh, just can't figure why they bring 3 for 2 diners; 4 would be nice... If you are willing to take your chances you may be pleased, but be prepared for a let down.

The food was amazing. The grilled chicken honey mustard sandwich was so good. A lot of food for your money. Staff was friendly and accomodating for our large group, even though they were very busy.

Tollgate Inn is a staple in Sandy, you can’t drive through without seeing it. They serve large portions of delicious food! Nice home style cooking closer on the plain side but to ensure that those who do not like salt and pepper are not unsatisfied. The burgers are incredible, they are well known for pot roast and chicken fried steak. It’s the only place in town that I know of that serves liver and onions (and they are fantastic, and cooked correctly), the turkey dinner is made with real thick sliced turkey cut fresh by the cooks daily. The waitresses are great and do their best! The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable and quick. Tollgate has a full bar and can make just about any drink you ask for. Lastly the bakery, I’m not sure if there is still a 4 for $5 deal on select desserts but the dessert is to die for. Very tasty and freshly made. Coffee is sweet and delicious (white chocolate flavoring is the best!). Give Tollgate a chance, it’s a great place all around.

Love tollgate inn! Great service, HUGE omelets and delicious pancakes. Only complaint is you cant order a bloody mary until 9am ;)
