Very small show room space, and most of the items sold in the space don't have a price tag - you have to ask the clerk for a price, and during our visit, the clerk was busy doing other things, seemed 'unavailable', and a little unfamiliar with the tools I was in inquiring after. The tools seem good quality, they had two small workbenches set up with the occasional scrap of wood you might need to ask for one you could try some of the tools on and the selection is definitely far better than any big box stores when it comes to woodworking with hand tools, but the show room experience left a little to be desired. They've got hardware, sharpening stones of all kinds, tools, files, consumables, etc. Without prices on the items, be prepared for some sticker shock when you get to the register!
bespoke nails, curated hand tools, it's like a speakeasy for woodwork. I sought the place out to aquire a specific product not many places carry, but they list on their website. Then when I get there, they have it in stock. I forgot what that was like. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable and all that too. Truly inspirational.
Ordered a Festool saw through them online. They were super responsive, the shipping was fast, and they actually had the saw in stock. I'll definitely reach out to them again if they have other tools I need. Also really like the old-school website - works and performs well.
Awesome place they got a lot of good tools and are very knowledgeable
As a full time furniture maker they are one of my top 3 go to places for quality tools. Online order turn around is quick and the website is well laid out. Never been disappointed with a purchase from them.
Very nice store, professional stuff, everyone is extremely helpful! Store has full pine of Festool and a great database, they can get you even small pieces of tools if they break. Repair service help is top notch too, they can send your tools for repair or exchange and it usually comes back within a week. Never had problems with returning or exchanging tools. Highly recommended place
Definitely not inexpensive but they stock hard to find specialist tools that are mostly European. You just need to know what you want beforehand.
I visited this place today and was blown away by the quality stuff in here. We had a little trouble finding it and we were about 30 minutes early from opening no problem though the guy saw us outside and let us right in. We walked in and they had this rack of a portion of their hand tool collection and i was able to test the tools before i bought on a variety of different mediums and really get a feel of what i was looking for. The staff were extremely knowledgeable because they not only worked there but because they were enthusiast themselves and it was apparent as we talked and they helped me choose and understood what i was discribing from experience. I wish that every store was as immersive as this one. Good job guys very much worth the trek over to Brooklyn no doubt.
Terrific place to find high end woodworking supplies. The owner was very friendly and helpful, offering us a cold iced tea while we shopped. We live two hours away and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.
Hard to describe how lucky we are to have this place to buy quality hand tools! This is one of the key institutions leading the hand tool Renaissance, by sharing knowledge and manufacturing traditional hand tools you could not buy 10 years ago you could a 100 years ago. They also carry Festool, the gold standard in power tools. Top it off with a friendly staff and you have a unique gem in your very own backyard. Now they're even open on Saturdays so us weekend warriors have a chance to buy in person.
