We were a TNT family for many years until we moved away from the area and absolutely LOVED our time at TNT. It is well worth your time, kids and parents together! We all started as students, all earned up to 1st Dan, oldest daughter to 2nd Dan before moving away. And I even became an employee teaching at TNT as an instructor for about a year and a half. I've since moved down to Crestview, FL, and just started instructing at Gordon Martial Arts, another excellent family oriented martial art school. We as a family are eternally grateful to Mr. & Mrs. Shade and the whole staff. We miss them and all our students, friends and families dearly, and wish all the best!!
My son has been with TNT for 5 years. We train in both Taekwondo and BJJ. Great programs for kids and adults. We are very pleased and have no plans to train anywhere else.
5 Years since I last walked through the doors. In that time I earned my undergraduate degree a semester early, and am now mere months away from finishing my Masters in Business Administration. I took classes from Mrs. Demitra Warren Shade for 9 years, in the process earning myself a Third degree Black Belt and an education in self discipline, determination, and humility that is more important than my 5 years of college combined with my entire primary and secondary education. Were it not for the training I recieved at Top Notch Taekwondo, and the emotional maturity and self-discipline that came with it, I certainly would not have excelled in the manner that I have. I cant even imagine where I would be without TNT in my life. I can only recommend that anyone interested in learning not only a martial art, but how to be a better person stop by and take a class. If you stop by on a Monday, you might even catch me getting in a workout.
I have been training at this school for a year and a half. This school has great instructors and all around a great atmosphere. There are programs for all ages for Taekwondo and BJJ!
Top Notch is awesome. My grandson is more focused, polite, and respectful already and has only been there 6 months. His behavior in school has improved so much. The instructors are fantastic. It is a joy for him to go here. Thanks Top Notch Taekwondo!
Hands down the best martial arts place in Desoto County! The instructors are friendly and the owners are some of the best people I've have ever dealt with. A big THANK YOU to the Shade family for being so awesome!
Very nice and friendly martial arts school. My daughter is a Taekwondo black belt in this school and I've been training jiujitsu for over 6 years. Love this place.
TNT is the best martial arts school in the area! Instructors are great with teaching in the taekwondo and jiujitsu classes and the facility is spacious and clean.
Please be aware that it is $140 a month. You have to fulfill a 13 month membership, in which they refuse to cancel - no matter what. I have been charged approximately $210 a month for the past 12 months, 3 of which my children were unable to attend. We are not even in the area, and the program refuses to cancel. I have to call a billing company - ASF solutions - with a BBB rating of D- to cancel. Upon speaking with them, I still am unable to cancel without mailing a document to their company. I feel scammed, upset, and completely bewildered as to an organization for children can encourage "positivity and integrity" when they clearly do not practice these ideals in business. Within the 9 months my children attended, they had three belt ceremonies. Two of the ceremonies, my children's names were not even spelled correctly on their certificates. My daughter practiced diligently her pattern for weeks - WEEKS- and wasn't even asked to perform. I am upset, disgraced, and have definitely learned a lesson by enrolling my children in this program. Buyers beware. Good luck if you ever want to be out of the contract - even if you've fulfilled your obligation.
