This was the perfect place to stop by during such a cold and windy day. The food came out hot and everything tasted fresh. There was a lot of flavor and sizable meat portion within the ramen. We only ordered one sushi roll and it was just okay. It was missing something maybe it needed more sauce or something. We ordered strawberry mochi for dessert and it was absolutely delicious. This place had a great atmosphere and our server was friendly. I’d definitely come back and try other things on the menu.
Great food, everything was very fresh and very tasty note that whatever is marked “spicy” on the menu is not terribly spicy in fact. Served very fast too. The restaurant was clean, casual but cozy, with a true Asian vibe and friendly staff. We absolutely enjoyed our dinner here and will definitely bring the guys more business.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
AMAZING ramen, great quality food- and really friendly, prompt service. Have nothing bad to say about this place, it is such a GEM. My ramen broth had so much flavor I actually forgot there were even noodles which were delicious, by the way! underneath all the awesome and generously portioned toppings. The black pepper tuna roll I got was simple and fresh, no complaints there! Can't wait to come back!
Absolutely love this place! We were visiting and found this place right by the Marriott. Friendly servers and great food. Good comes in quick. They have a bar and serve alcohol. Noticed they also served take away . Highly recommend for a good sushi , Asian food placeDine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
First time experience in a Japanese restaurant and I didn’t regret coming here. We were originally going to have our first Japanese experience at Yuraku, but seeing that Washington DC was along the way we stopped by here instead. Once arriving we were immediately seated and the service was nice. I ordered the Tokyo Ramen $15 and it is the best ramen I ever had. I normally don’t go to ramen restaurants because I can go to a store and buy instant ramen. But I was shocked by how different they were so I would recommend ordering it. I didn’t really get to see what was at the bar but it still looked cool. -Prices were fair and I think everything was in between the 10-20 range but there might be somethings over that. The area is well cared for and very clean. -Bathrooms. I am saying this so you dont be like me. So in the restaurant there is a way to the restroom. I thought it was a multi gender restroom so I waited for a solid minute before I decided to push open the door to see an hallway leading to Gong’s Tea with a men and women’s bathroom right there. Lets just say I was disappointed with myself after that :D. - Overall I think this is a great place to hang out with friends and family. Its funny how they still have a Christmas theme but then I realized that Christmas is just 4 months away . Super yummy! I got the winter chicken ramen which was good and not too salty I've had very salty ramen at other ramen shops in Dc. The noodles were chewy and delicious. The sushi was fresh! We shared a yummy roll that's the name. The service was fast and pleasant. The place was clean and it was bustling with people but they sat people quickly. We'll be back
My first time at Toryumon and I was impressed, the food not only looked amazing but tasted as good as it looked. My Chicken katsu was tender with a light crispy coating with well prepared rice and sides. My kaarage was also really good, especially paired with a on Tao cold Sapporo beer.
I am and was a regular customer during the pandemic— before they had opened back up the restaurant in person. And let me just say that this is most definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in DC. In my opinion, better than the sushi they serve in Chinatown. A few key points to keep in your mind when you come to this restaurant. 1. Very clean! 2. Definitely try the speciality sushi rolls, they are amazing tried the Toryumon, Truffle, and Dragon rolls so far! 3. During rush hours, you may not able to have a waiter fast enough as you were during there chill hours. Thanks for reading my review! You should definitely come to this spot!
This place is UNREAL. For the price, the sushi rolls are MASSIVE and delicious! You definitely get the a lot of bang for your buck. We also had several appetizers, which were all amazing. We will definitely be back...I'm excited to try the ramen next time!
I really like this place. They have got the freshest sushi I've ever tasted. It's like they have the fish still alive in the back waiting for you to order. Please excuse the photos, I was really hungry and everything looked so good thar I started digging in before I snapped a pic. The food is presented beautifully.
