Friendly Polynesian woman bartender who "doesn't usually work Wednesdays..." I'm happy we crossed paths. Your warm smile and attentive but not intrusive way was refreshing. We felt welcomed. Your outstanding customer service will bring us back again. Side note: Wednesdays is billiard leagues so don't plan an impromptu game. So many high end pool queues lined up, owner may want to consider a few nice player racks.

The nicest folk ever! Good reception for strangers. You are not one for long. This little joint may be out of your usual route, but it is definitely worth a stop. So rad! Live, killer music! Who does that now? Very few. Super Sweet, SAFE. Cool cats!

Very unique and friendly. My only complaint is it was a little loud. The live band was great, but it's not a big place so it was hard to hear anyone over the music. Also, if pictures of nude women in the restroom offend you, close your eyes or find somewhere else.

It's hidden oasis! - A nice little bar with great music. For being right on South State Street! Just teasin'. - - - - - Go on in!!! - They sell shots!! - - - Heck that shot of Southern Comfort that I had could probably kill Covid, because it almost killed me!! But in a fun way No, I don't know the music schedule.

Such a cool and caring staff! It doesn’t matter who is behind the bar when my husband and I go, we always end up chatting with the most hilarious bartenders and we leave feeling great. The owners recently purchased this, and it’s obvious they have put a lot of love and hard work into the building. Live music, karaoke with an actual FUN and not awkward MC, great roadhouse atmosphere, pool tables.. they’ve got it all! Proud to recommend it as one of our top ten favorite places in SLC.

Nice little dive bar. We only came to see my friends band, The Ornery, play. But it was pleasant, cozy, friendly, and had 50 cent pool games. Will definitely visit again.

Just Landed in SLC …. And I wanted to grab a quick beer & shot with my friends …I googled BEST DIVE bars near me ….TAILGATE TAVERN… came up …. This is a GREAT BAR …. With great service … great prices …. And a cool chill hospitable vibe … don’t be fooled by the look … I almost was … IM SO GLAD I decided to come in … this is a A great bar … definitely check it out

Excellent local bar. Most people are regulars who except new people with open arms. Staff goes above and beyond to help make sure everyone is having a good time. Karaoke DJ is on point and quick, I ran out of songs to sing and I don't have a small list. All and all if you want a community hangout that's not overwhelming populated this is the place to go.

Super cute divey bar. Great activities. Dog nights. Eclectic bathroom. Good music.

Awesome little bar with great staff! Decided to randomly stop & check it out while in town - would definitely come back.
