Toujours Wedding Planning

Future brides need to beware of Toujours Wedding Planning and owner Makayla Kelley. I contracted with Makayla back in September of 2018 to create 8 bridesmaids bouquets, 19 boutonnieres, and 7 corsages for my October 2019 wedding. Originally Makayla was responding within minutes notice and was very involved. However, I am began to experience all my texts and Facebook messages left unreturned for days and at some points even weeks. Makayla has used several excuses as to why she has not begun working on my order - such as her Facebook Messenger was not working, she broke her phone, or her floral order did not come in. Makayla promised me an August 31st delivery date for my order. That day came and still no flowers. Come September 4th I was a few weeks out from my wedding and in sheer panic because I had no florals. I lost an entire of work due to searching for a professional reliable florist to fulfill my order in such a short notice. I then fought for five weeks to obtain my deposit. It took a letter from my attorney and a news article ran by WOWT to have my deposit returned. After further research I found I’m not the first bride she did this to!! I would never recommend her services to my worst enemy.

she was great and responsive, and told me everything I wanted to hear about her services and how much help she could offer. When it came to the first meeting she no showed me. She had a sick child so I was understanding. We had meet and each time we met things we had discussed she had forgotten about or changed. Everything went fairly well with her up until the day before and day of. She had forgotten that she agreed to come and hour before the rehearsal to start decorating as i agreed to help her with some of my bridesmaids as well. Once she did show up I felt like there was no one way she could have done it with out our help, she didn’t really know what was going on or how to help. The day of my wedding was a disaster, my groomsmen and bridesmaids had to help her set up both my ceremony space and reception space or it would have never been done and everyone was frantic and stressing me out completely. at the end of the reception she was supposed to be in charge of tear down but had gotten way too drunk at our reception to even help. She was dropping things, falling over the place and everything.. the next day I found out my entire 3 tier cake was thrown away, she had no idea if any of my bouquets were kept and where a lot of my decor was. When I asked her about these things she just told me she wasn’t in charge of things like that and blamed my bridesmaids who had to help clean up. She also never acknowledged her behavior at my reception, all of my close friends and family were very aware of how trashed she Got. I then received screen shot texts from chair cover vendor of her talking bad about me and my friends and family. She left the venue early from Being so drunk yet said she was uncomfortable. There had been one altercation at my wedding with unfortunately my drunk dad and it was handled. I was devastated over these really Important things as I will never get them back. Unfortunately i wouldn’t recommend her.

This lady is a thief. She backed out of my best friends wedding and refused to return her down payment. See the story WOWT ran on the news.
