Definition: Customer service is the process of Ensuring customer satisfaction with a product or service. The act of taking care of the customer's needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality service and assistance before, during, and after the customer's requirements are met. As a resident of Townsend, I feel horrible to write a negative review, but feel it necessary in hopes that public record will motivate management to strive for improvement. A full service and seal replacement was done on my boat. After 3 weeks I brought it home where it sat for a week. I found a puddle of oil below the Lower end unit. I called TM. Their reply was to take it out. If it was still leaking, bring it in. I brought it in. After an additional 3 weeks & $521.00 later, it was fixed. Price, I think was fair, but I believe I should have given priority. My boat was not leaking oil before I took it to them, but it was after. Did Townsend Marine just miss a bad seal or cause it due to the pressure testing? Who knows. Worst part is, I felt I was talked down to & disrespected for suggesting it was their mistake. Terrible customer service in the parts department. I'm disappointed...

I bought my Lund boat from Townsend Marine seven years ago. I have had it serviced there every year since. This last year I tried the new winter storage with shrink wrapping. I have always had great service and as a customer I appreciate it.

I bought a new Lund boat at Townsend Marine for retirement in April 2016. I was looking for a good product with something close to excellent customer service. The responsiveness to my inquiries prior to my decision to buy, and my customer service after I decided to buy were all I could have asked for. I spent 30 years in customer service and I know it when I see it. I bought from Dave but have dealt with Brian, the owner, as well. This happy customer is convinced they put a real emphasis on real customer service.
