I came in before the dinner crowd, so enjoyed the restaurant to myself, only shared by with another gentleman. The food was delicious. I had the veal and it was cooked to perfection. I had tiramisu to go and was pleasantly surprised that it was packaged as if I had it dining in. A little disappointed with the wine, there was a lot of sedimentation on the bottom of the glass which wasn’t realized until I almost got there. I wish there was a wine list offered. People, don’t make the assumptions. It appears that I experience most folks have, an automatic 20% gratuity. I suppose once I paid with my metal American Express platinum card, he felt a little guilty and provided me with a parting bottle of wine.
Amazing service and great food! They took my group in last minute with no reservations and were very accommodating. Yeah it’s not a “gourmet” or “luxury” Italian place by my usual standard, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. My party sat in their “garden room” in the back and had the whole patio to ourselves at around 5PM on a Friday night - WILD! Main meals were around $20-$35 and portions were generous/more than enough! The owner, Isaac, was the star of the night. He made sure we were happy with our meals, gave us each a free bottle of wine to take home, and told us all about his days of Elvis impersonation. I’m not sure why people are giving this place bad reviews, he may not be from Italy but they sure know how to cook like they are! Will 100% be coming back here on my next trip to the city.
Honestly, the food was subpar. With those prices I was expecting the food to be fresh and tasty. I personally wouldn’t come back. The was not authentic. Although, I will say the meatballs were good! Overall it’s a no for me and I’d honestly rather go to Olive Garden . And the outdoor seating was mad cramped
Wonderful service. Eggplant Rollitini is my favorite and it did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their food. Dessert was as beautiful as it was delicious. Excellent Cappuccino.
Best dinner we’ve had in years! Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, the owner was very entertaining the entire meal. Truly authentic Italian hospitality. Thank you Isaac Elvis for the great memories!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Amazing food and highly recommend it. A bit dark inside but the atmosphere is top notch, I highly recommend the homemade sangria. These are by far the best sangria I've had in a long time. The white is my favorite but the red is a bit more mellow if you dont have a sweet tooth for white wine.
Everything was so authentic! Traditional and better. I have been to so many Italian restaurants during and post COVID that understandably cut back on quality and hired people that do not know how to cook Italian. I just wouldn’t do a review of those. This restaurant is exceptional. Classics made the Italian way. Yes, I have been to Italy. The Tiramisu is better than other restaurants and made in house. They don’t use liquor in Tiramisu like in Italy but it is still among the very best in NYC. Italian music plays in the background. Enjoy it like you are supposed to!
What a wonderful small place nestled into a busy area. It is such a perfect mix of casual and dressed up for the ultimate outing. The decor was lovely and intimate. The wait staff you could tell took great pride in their work and really paid attention to detail. There was an extremely rude lady sitting behind us that was just awful and our waiter handled the situation with professional poise. The owner and staff all worked together to deescalate the situation in a very efficient and empathetic way. I really must say the bread dip is some of the best bread dip I've ever had. The bread was warm and fresh with a nice crust. The stuffed artichokes were absolutely delightful. But the meat raviolis were so so good. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the pasta and meat were perfectly cooked. You really could not ask for better. I must recommend the tiramisu as well, you could tell it was handmade and amazing. All in all it was such a romantic little spot and I highly recommend it to anyone. We spotted it the first day we were in the city and finally made space for it the last evening of the trip and I am so glad we did!
We loved our experience at Trattoria Casa Di Isacco! The food was excellent. The octopus was hands down the best I have ever had!! Isacco himself is a real gentleman. He makes you feel welcome and as if you are dining in his home. The restaurants is his personal work of art. You can see the love and dedication he has to the place. I brought some family from Colombia and it was the perfect NYC experience. I would highly recommend this place.
Love this place and the atmosphere . I always have a Wonderful time whenever I visit. Best homemade sangria I ever had. Pasta is top notch. And every dessert is delicious.
