Treatment by Lanshin

Wow, Yoon is absolutely an amazing practitioner. I simply have never had a facial like that before. She is incredibly intuitive, kind, and deeply passionate about the work she does. Yoon went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and released immense amount of tension in my face through gua sha. I'm about to embark on an 8 week rejuvenation with her using a combination of acupuncture, facial acupuncture, facial gua sha, cupping, and infrared heat massage -- simply can't wait! Sandra's tools are also very brilliant and I adore them. I recommend following her on instagram as well as she gives tons of amazing advice.

Massages by Ruth are the highlight of my weekend. She is the perfect balance of masseuse and physical therapist, always working with me to improve the aches and pains I'm feeling. I leave not just feeling relaxed, but also like I'm making a lasting difference to my body, and this is what differentiates the Lanshin experience from other massages I've had in the past. Not only is she a excellent practitioner, but she's also a wonderful person. Everyone who works at Lanshin is so friendly and welcoming, it really feels like a community. I couldn't recommend Ruth and Lanshin more!

Short story is Britta is AMAZING and the entire Lanshin team is a pleasure. ------ Update from 8/17/15: I feel compelled to give an update, since it's been over a year now, and I'm still getting my treatments from Britta! I'm getting married next year and have begun treatments every 6 weeks religiously, and I look forward to every one. Britta's keeping my skin in excellent shape for my big day, and will continue to do so post-wedding. She only gets more advanced and thoughtful with her technique and philosophy. Even if there's another place that is just as committed to natural products, you want HER to do your facials and skin care because she is very bespoke in regards to her process. She assesses what YOU need for your skin and adjusts accordingly. She also makes herself available between appointments in case of any major questions or feedback, which I find to be extremely professional and unheard of at most other skin care centers. All of the products I've bought at Treatment by Lanshin are AMAZING as well. They last a super long time, and actually work, and are like food and nourishment for your skin, to keep it supported, hydrated, and healthy - NOT harsh chemicals that will thin your skin and make it look pretty now and terrible later on in life because it's also more vulnerable to the elements. The entire staff has a hand in trying and testing products, to make sure they always carry the BEST on the market for their clients' home care. My first review from 4/7/14: Britta is wonderful - very intelligent and professional. I have had facials at many big and small establishments around Manhattan - by far she has the best approach. She is very good at making you feel at ease, and her extractions are thorough yet gentle. A rare find! Her products are all well-researched - they are of the highest quality and all organic, and without fillers/unnecessary chemicals. She always leaves my face looking healthy and feeling soft. She will send you home with samples of the regimen she recommends, which is also in its own way relaxing - no need to change your regimen until you've tried it out at home for a few days. I did in fact change my regimen to follow exactly the products she recommended, and I'm so much happier. The easy regimen works so well for me. She just "gets" it - the experience of having a facial is supposed to make you feel good, and each step of her process is stress-free and relaxing. My skin is super soft, improving in texture and tone, my redness has decreased significantly, and my dryness has been cured. I can't say enough great things about Sandra and her hands of holistic healing. Sandra helped me alleviate pain that I thought I would never shake, melting away scar tissue that seemed relentless. My surgeon was so impressed with how I healed. And if that is not enough of a recommendation, Sandra has built her practice around a great staff specifically Ruth and Teruko who are incredible with their hands when it comes to giving a massage. I truly feel whole and healed after having an appointment with her and her team....my body and I are eternally grateful.

I had my share of facials and I know when a facial is outstanding, not only by the way it feels during the treatment, but how I feel when I leave and most importantly: how I look! I had my first facial with Karin at Treatment by Lanshin a month ago and I felt absolutely like heaven. She has the magic touch! I felt she really paid attention to little nuances in my skin, drier near my scalp and a bit oilier around my nose, and when I left I felt my skin was balanced, clean, nourished and glowing. The products they select for the facials are all organic and made in small batches by companies I love and respect. I know they only hire top notch estheticians there and I am sure to return at least once a month. I wish I could it give 10 stars!

This is the most incredible place. Not just a spa pushing product and treating surface problems- they really care about your individual health, skin type, and overall well-being. Lanshin has a knowledgeable and effective team of badass women who are masters in their industry. The last time I walked in they were taking a quick remote class on new techniques. They are constantly striving to provide the best care and the best recommendations for their clients. I would recommend to anyone looking for a more holistic approach to "beauty".

Britta's facials are like nothing I've ever experienced before - and I've been to a lot of places. She is very intuitive and showers my skin with so much TLC during my level 3 facials. Treatment by Lanshin is a tranquil and friendly place.

Sandra changed my life, or should I say given me my life back. She is one of the most intuitive and talented healers I have ever been treated by. Her knowledge of acupuncture and eastern herbal medicine is truly remarkable. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about Sandra and her team and have no reservations in recommending her.

The only store to shop for skincare in Williamsburg! They had all my favorite brands including Josh Rosebrook, Marie Veronique, ISDIN, Mahalo, MyHavtorn, and Chemist Confessions. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Britta for years now and love seeing her even more now that she is at Treatment by Lanshin. The space and staff are so welcoming and their holistic approach is so cohesive and genuine. I swear by the products they stock and Britta always steers me in the right direction with her dietary, skincare, and general wellness advice. I can't say enough good things!
