I love this little shop! The owner is very welcoming and kind, and the treats are delicious! My boyfriend was having a bad day so I stopped here to find some sweets for a pick-me-up : The small layered cakes-in-a-cup were soooo good we got the cookies and cream and the caramel vanilla cake – the latter was my favorite, especially since I love caramel!. I also got us 2 cupcakes to try the rainbow ones are beautiful!, though we haven't tried them just yet hopefully tonight. I'll definitely return here when I have a sweets craving or want to get a little something special to make a friend smile :
We found the warmth and friendliness a family business brings to a community. A parade of visual delights filled the cases making a singular choice a near impossibility. I settled on a caramel core cupcake with a deliciously fluffy crown that was the perfect conclusion to our dining experience in downtown.
Stopped in on a whim to get something sweet after dinner on Castro Street. TLDR: cute bakery with delicious Western and Persian cakes and sweets from smaller items you can enjoy right away, to dessert platters for a party, to custom cakes you can order, very cute and thoughtfully selected party supplies, and solid-looking selection of baking & cake-decorating tools unexpected, but as an occasional baker, I dug that. Definitely coming back! The details: we got a chocolate mousse cupcake and a small sampler of Persian sweets. Delicious! The cupcake: tender cake, the mousse and ganache just right, not too sweet. Disclaimer: I know not a thing about Persian cuisine so I have zero idea how traditional the sweets were but to me they were really good. It was a selection of bite-sized treats; very mildly sweet, several nut/seed-based confections, many of them shortbread-like in texture, which are all things I happen to like. Very nice service; I also got a complimentary rose nougat I think because I got a Persian sampler. So...try the Persian desserts!
I randomly walked by and stopped in. Bought two eclairs. They were so delicious. They were fully filled with a delicious sweet cream filling not empty and hollow like most eclairs I’ve encountered. Would definitely recommend the eclairs and would go back!
Vegan options, friendly staff and the best vegan cake I've had in a very long time chocolate ganache. My dairy-eating husband even thought the cake was delicious. Will definitely be going back!
This is the best bakery on a Castro Street for those who like flavorful, creamy and not over-sweetened desserts! My recommendation is to try one of their cake-cups. Be careful, they can be addicting!
The gentleman in Treats was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I can't have certain ingredients but it turns out Treats is very allergy sensitive!! I enjoyed a fabulous brownie, very decadent! Thanks for looking out Treats on Castro!
I went in here with my boyfriend yesterday evening coz the store looked really cute on the outside. We didn't plan on buying anything, but got really intrigued by their Saffron Pistachio Ice Cream. The lady working there convinced us to buy it saying it had like 5 ingredients not true and was actually their best-seller. This was definitely one of the worst ice-creams I've had. you could taste the saffron and pistachio which was good, but that was all you could taste. It was like having plain saffron milk with some pistachios in there. Not sweet at all. We ended up just tossing it in the trash after having 2 spoons, coz it was not at all worth the calories. Also a waste of $4 for the tiny cup.
It's good but get ready for a sugar blast in your mouth, I mean, of course it's a dessert place so it'll be sweet but the cupcakes we had was betong sweetness my teeth hurt. So just a word of caution
Got here a tiramisu cake for a friends birthday, everyone loved it! The friend actually loved it so much that now tiramisu especially from this place is his favorite.
