Trelawni Place Seafood Bar and Grill

The food here is very good. Way more peaceful atmosphere than footprints. Been here on more than one occasion. A Sunday and a Saturday. Not so busy and tasty Jamaican food and good service.

Got uber eats. $3 for 1 1/4 peice of steamed bammy. - how?? How do you send 1 pc for $3, no good! $10 for 5 spicy shrimp -$2 bucks a shrimp they tasted ok. $3 for overripe oily pantains - when I asked for green -terrible $13 for lobster mac & cheese. Can't even tell that its lobster, the taste n texture is weird, the cheese sauce is strong, not tasty. Can't finish eating it. Dish is a fail . I paid $30.49 US... so do the exchange on my Canadian dollar at $1.30 $39.64CAN My stomach is upset right now. I'm so disappointed. .... I'm a foodie n rarely dislike food. I called n now I'm waiting for the pleasant staff member to call me back to rectify the situation. I don't want anymore food I Just some of the order reimbursed. Update. They refunded some of my purchase. THANK YOU.

Good food but service sucks... owner had to come and serve and host my post of 17. If not for him they wouldn't have been tipped.

This is a place u do not want to eat nasty unprofessional in the kitchen works with out gloves touching fish chicken vegs and more gm talks To u nasty all day long and drinks in front of the employees they need to get new chef in the kitchen and a new gm it's sad to say that... that won't change cuz the owner and gm are brothers so something needs to happen to this place I hope nobody gets sick ..... this establishment needs alot of work maybe someone who nows how to run a kitchen.

I went to this restaurant today with a group of friends. We booked for 45 people and I must say we were disappointed in the service. About 32 people showed up and there wasn't enough food to serve us all and some of the food was cold. I'm vegan and all they had was rice and peas & mixed vegetable. The serving was very small just enough to feed a child. Everyone had to ask for some additional food. The servers weren't courteous and friendly, and kept talking over the food. As for the juice.....we were served ready mix fruit punch. When asked for a different kind of juice, we were told there wasn't anything else. Very poor service and I wouldn't recommend this place to nobody. The servers and food suck...

When in for a girls night out dinner, customer service was warm we were seated right away. I had a decent experience here however, the lighting was an issue it kept going dim then bright again. Anyway on to the food, I ordered jerk pineapple wings there was nothing pineapple about it it was overly spicy!!!! For entree I ordered steak medium rare and it was amazing!!! I enjoyed every mouth watering second of it. So i will indeed return next time i hope to give you guys 5 star

Food is great, really great. This restaurant would have been 5 stars if the service was anywhere close to good. Entering the restaurant, my friend and I stood there awkwardly while waiting for someone to notice us. We were placed at a makeshift table and we were handed the menus before we sat. Not very friendly. We ordered but two dishes ran out so we weren't able to get them. The waitress offered an alternative which we got, but they were out of the dressing so we didn't get any. If we didn't ask we wouldn't have known. Most things we wouldn't have known if we didn't ask. I observed how the waiters and waitresses addressed the guests and I kept thinking to myself that they probably didn't like tips. Clearly. The food, even though a teensy bit overpriced, makes up for the service. This place has potential to be excellent.

I didn't hate the place, I hate how they let it run down. How is it that they are closed for business Mon & Tue have someone there on Tue to make and confirm reservations. Then Wed. have limited food and liquor, offering happy hour discounts and not enough beer and liquor. The menu is minuscule. Our waitress and the manager were great. The cook should have help in the kitchen. They need to get it together our close. Friends can't run Businesses when they don't own them. When the cats away the mice will play. Thank you.

We got there on a Thursday evening at 10:30pm, party of 6. We were immediately seated and that was a plus. However, it was all down hill from there. Or server for the night brought over 6 glasses and left. 10 minutes went by and no sign of her. 10 quickly turned into 15, 20 minutes. It wasn't until I called her over and asked what the glasses were for that the light bulb went off and she went to get a pitcher with some lemon water. It was at this point that she took our drink and food orders. Just when thought it couldn't get worst it did. Another 15 minutes went by and we haven't even gotten our drinks. The food and the drinks ended up coming out at the same time. And the food isn't that impressive. I ordered the coconut shrimp and I was not pleased and I absolutely love coconut shrimp. I have never written a restaurant reviews before or any review for that matter but I felt that this was necessary. Customer service is very important to me and this is the worst that I have ever seen. I will never visit Trelawni again!!!!

Where do I even begin. It was my sisters 20th Birthday. We were having difficulty finding a seafood restaurant that also had a good land based meal as well. I live in the area of the restaurant and attempt to support Black owned businesses every time I can. I attempted to call earlier in the day after looking at their menu on Google. The phone just rang out. I called back hours later same response. Phone just rang. Their website seems to be cut off. So my family and I agreed to meet at 6 since the restaurant opens at 4. When my mother and sister arrive. The door was locked. They were greeted by a rude employee who I think may be the owner who asked if they had a reservation. The restaurant was empty. But they were expecting a 5 person group at 7:30. That never arrived. The menu on Google is not their menu. None of the items featured on Google they have. They act like they dont even know Google has a menu. The overall experience was horrible. The appetizers were over done and tasteless. But tasted better than the entrees. They had 4 of glasses and she seemed annoyed she couldn't sell us wine. No children's menu. The jerk chicken had no flavor. The fried chicken had no flavor. Most restaurants also give a whole bottle of ketchup instead of kid sized cups. The attitude of the staff was as if our patronage was somehow bothersome. So we won't support them. Had the food been bad and good service I would have given them no review at all. The whole evening was a joke. Flavorless chicken, deep fried plantains, no salt. It was a shame. I had high expectations that was a complete disappointment.
