Trey Yuen Cuisine Of China

As a bit of history, this restaurant was literally one of the first true “fine dining” Chinese restaurants in the US (outside of San Francisco). Frank Wong and his brothers are fixtures in our community and we are fortunate that they chose Mandeville (originally Hammond) of all places to settle down. Excellent cuisine. Beautiful restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

I was a kid when they built this place. I grew up eating here. Just came back through town and ate here after 26 years for old times sake. The food was amazing! I thought maybe I was exaggerating in my memories. I was not. It was even better than I remembered and still just as beautiful of a building and garden as I have ever seen.

For 25 years, we have enjoyed Trey Yuen's consistently excellent meals from vegetarian delights to meat and seafood culinary specialties. The breadth of their menu requires that you should dine there often.

I had not been here in many, many years. My visit was fine but the food just wasn't as good as the memory I had. Sad too because I remember loving this place. On the bright side, the portions are huge and you will likely need a to-go box. The plates we ordered were good, just not what I recalled. I wasn't extremely satisfied with the temperature of the food either. Seemed like it should have been a bit warmer. Atmosphere is spot on and the staff was very good.
