Trinity is an Anglican church worshipping in two locations in Atlanta, Georgia. Our aim is to be people who increasingly resemble Jesus in the way we worship, in our relationships, in our learning, and in the way we engage the world.
Trinity's Mission: To be a people growing into Christ's likeness.
Conformity into Christ’s likeness inevitably leads to a flourishing life. Jesus himself epitomized such a life. At Trinity, our aim among our whole community is to foster this very lifestyle through four essential components of Christianity: Worship, Community, Formation, and Influence.
Worship – Humans are created to worship. As we do so we give God that which He deserves. Whether gathering to pray, read God’s Word, and receive the sacrament of communion, or in the quietness of personal devotion, we are reminded that our individual lives are part of a greater purpose: to glorify God.
Community – We are made in the image of the Trinity and, as a result, are built for harmonious relationship with God and with one another. Community groups are important vehicles for developing relationships. Trinity also creates opportunities for church members to grow in community; for example retreats, church softball, mission trips, and service groups such as the Lazarus ministry.
Formation – Formation constitutes the process by which we grow into Christ’s likeness. We grow by steps, not leaps and bounds! At Trinity, formation occurs in a number of ways, including Trinity School, whose ministry seeks to develop formation through education classes; also, through pastoral care and discipleship, which afford the opportunity for growth in smaller, more intimate settings.
Influence – One inevitable result of flourishing will be a desire for redemptive participation (that which bears good fruit) At Trinity, we encourage participation with God and others in three key ways: in our own spheres of influence(family/job/neighborhood); in service within the church; by participating in mission outside the church. There are numerous opportunities for participation and we encourage everyone to discover how to best use their spiritual gifts in engaging with the advancement of God’s kingdom.
