Truck Service of Florence

Our daughter was stranded on I95 & the State Troopers called Truck Service of Florence to tow her car as she was taken to the hospital for medical attention. I & my husband called them to make arrangements for pickup for Sunday as our daughter was to be discharged over the weekend & we were traveling in from Virginia. They worked with us to have someone available even though they were not open for pickups. I believe it was Andrew who met us-- he helped jump the car & was considerate & patient as we had some trouble getting it started. All was greatly appreciated--thank you so very much!

From the time Kelly picked us up on 95 right through to when the service manager Tom arrived, their service and professionalism was unmatched. Very knowledgeable and we was in and out of there very quick. Thank you guys for a great experience!

My son was stranded on I95. Highway Patrol contacted this company. They quoted 175.00 to tow to Pilot truck stop 4.5 miles. My son gave him a debit card. He was charged 600.00 to go 4.5 miles. These people prey on people in need. They are crooks!!!!!!!!! Beware!!!!!!!!!!!

I called this company at 1:09pm 5-9-17. All I needed was a fuel filter changed and then they couldn't get the truck started back. He did advise us that they were only 6 miles away and could tow it to there shop. The tech called his shop to get a quote for towing. It was to be $475 with or without the trailer. When billed the first time it was at a rate of $575. When questioned about the price change they told me that it was because they pulled the trailer also. He told my driver that the truck was 15 mins. away and there was no need to wait. Just go with the other driver that was there to move the loaded trailer. With that, both my drivers headed back to NC. At 7:30 that evening another one of my trucks comes by and the truck that was down was still sitting the same place. He called me and I called Truck Service of Florence back to only get a answering service. After an hour I finally got it touch with the tow truck driver and he went to pick up my truck. Having been in business many years and stung on the road before I thought it best to have my truck picked up and brought back to NC for repair. ( At least we know who to trust in our own town.) When the tow company that I sent down to pick it up along with the driver that was there yesterday they decide to bill me $995. Ole yea we questioned that one. He says his tech was out there for 3 hours. His own paper work shows that was not the truth. I called him from my cell phone at 1:09pm and the tech's own paper said he was there until 3pm. This is less than 2 hours. In short, the bill was written as $475 for towing, 2 hours labor at $105 per hour, a $55 storage, $20 mileage and $30 for the filter. This is the biggiest rip off in Florence. If you break down in Florence, don't call them and if you do have plenty of money because they are going to drain you pocket's and your credit cards if they can from my experience. We ended up paying $790 to get my truck off of the road and they did nothing. After all this I sent a very repital towing company from Clayton, NC to pick my truck up in Florence, SC and bring it back and he only charge me $600. Watch who you do business with always. This is a great example of highway robbery!!!!!!!!
