The crusty bread on this banh mi sandwich is hard to forget. We split one, and then bought another one if that tells you anything. If there's a raspberry croissant left, get it. Like a puff of air. Wow! So good. The regular coffee was as very good too. All around great experience! I left one star off because I wish the tables were wiped down. I would go back in a second.
Just pure love goes into everything that is made here. Growing up, this was always the place to get your banh mi, and after moving back years later, it tastes even better. I got house sandwiches, and added a deluxe more meat & veggies - highly recommend getting the deluxe every time. Their baguettes are perfectly baked, lovely crunch and there is still a softness to it. Also added a croissant or two, and I devoured it. I was going to share with my husband, but ate it instead. It was the best croissant I’ve ever had. One sweet woman runs the counter herself and lines can get pretty long since it’s just her, but go anyway. FYI - if you come in before 8 am, no sandwiches are served yet, just pastries.
I cannot speak for their sandwiches and whatnot, but I have had their pastries. As far as they go, they’re quite good. There seems to something different about them in the yeast/proofing and the resulting flavor. Having lived in France, I’d argue that these are less authentic as far being French but still quite good pastries. For more authentic French pastries I would recommend trying Rose Street Patisserie.
Their croissant are always delicious. Gotta wake up early to get ur favorite flavors. Bánh mì sandwiches are fresh n just as filling. Update: visited again 12/27 n got a variety of Croissants. Gotta say now that my favorite is the Almond Croissant.
We have not found another place, locally, that compares to the croissants here. They are hands down the best croissants and still the same as when I was a kid. We easily spend $$ here because we love their croissants so much! Get there early though if you want to have variety. It does sell out fast. That's just how good they are. Flakey, soft, fresh.
every time i’m in st. paul, i always gotta stop by and get some croissants and sandwiches! they’re soooo good. my fav place :
If you're in St. Paul and in the mood for awesome crescent rolls and pastries give these guys a try!
I've been coming here since the 90's. Their croissants are the best I have ever had. The iced Trung Nam coffee is strong and yummy. The Bahn Mi is a mist, too.
The best place for croissants anywhere. Friendly family owned and been around for a long time. Highly recommend it for your pastry fixes!
Love this bakery! Service is always great! The bakery goods - oh my goodness! Flaky, crispy, yummy filled croissants! Would I recommend this place? Of course!
