Tutor Time of Matthews

Our kids have started Tutortime. We have been so happy and so pleased with the education that they’re getting, the amount of activities that they do throughout the day, we love the feedback of lots of pictures and videos and they also have a live feed camera that you can watch throughout the day. The Director Karyn has been absolutely wonderful. She already knows the kids names and everything about them. She’s very well organized. About time we found a daycare that is Reliable.

Wonderful Experience! I have some favorite teachers and others who are not my favorite, but overall the staff, the curriculum, and the overall environment is wonderful. No school will have everything you desire, but this school is clean, has systems in place for security, parent engagement, and so much more. My child has learned so much in his 2 1/2 years there and Ms. Lanette & Ms. Marguerite are absolutely wonderful and have made learning fun for my son. It is beyond child care, the teachers and staff, from the director to the cook, love the kids and make great efforts to smile, greet, and engage parents every chance they can. Wonderful school!

I set up a tour to decide if I would like to enroll my child, and I am SO glad we passed. An hour before our appointment, the director has a northern accent calls and says they can't do it because it is pickup time. This would have been nice to know while setting the appointment in the first place. She then says we can do a virtual tour, so I gave her my email to set up a meeting on Teams, I completely understood due to Covid. Five minutes before the meeting she says she can't send the link to my email which works perfectly fine and when I offer to give her my second email she AUDIBLY sighs and with a nasty tone, says we need to cancel and yells at me that she does not have time. It sounds like she just forgot about our appointment and could care less about us enrolling. I was just blown away with how disrespectful she was to me as a parent; let alone how she behaves towards the children when parents aren't around. I am so glad she presented that character, as we did not enroll and would never recommend this school to anyone. Hopefully corporate can have a discussion with the Director.

My son has been going to Tutor Time for over 8 months now. WE LOVE it there. The teachers always have a smile and greets us as soon as we enter the building. The building remains clean and smells great. I'm amazed everyday at what my son learns while he is there. The center director is amazing, she is very humble and supportive. I highly recommend this center!

I had the pleasure of not only working here but having my daughter in the infant room with Mrs. Terri! She is an amazing teacher who has been there over 15 years. We were pleased to have such a wonderful teacher take care of one of our most prized possessions! If you are looking for infant care, look no further she loves all of her babies!

Our daughter started at TutorTime at 8 weeks old and, recently, had to move to another daycare because we moved to the other side of town. We loved TutorTime! The teachers and administrators were always SO friendly. We were updated constantly on our daughter's progress, and the directors made it a point to greet us every day. Our daughter was very happy and learned so much in a year and a half. We were so sad to leave so quickly, and we miss our teachers! I will say that the center had a change in administration at the same time we left, so I cannot vouch for the new director. The center seemed to be a revolving door for about half of the staff. However, the ladies were always so wonderful and so real.

My Son has been attending this school since 2,months now. The Director, Christina Helms and her staff are all very friendly, nice, and supportive. They're always smiling and greeting us, as well as helping us through all concerns. My son is attending the Pre K program and definitely enjoys it. , Everything about this school is perfect. They provide daily reports about how much your child eat for that day, did, and will do. My son made some very sweet friends. All in all, this school is awesome! I highly recommend it and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have just contact me. Malika Haddad

If you are in the south Charlotte/Matthews area I strongly recommend you take a look at this Tutor Time. Everyone here is extremely friendly, and the children all seem very happy. We have been taking our 22-month old daughter here for five months and we are very happy with the way things are going. The director, Anne Drucker, is quite capable, and takes time to have relationships with all the kids and all the parents. I cannot recommend this daycare facility highly enough!!!

If your child is going to be in the 4 year old class, please look elsewhere. I just had to pull both my children from this facility because the 4 year old teacher threatened to put my son in a hot oven if he did not listen. She actually went as far as grabbing him by the wrist and walking him to the kitchen and making him open the oven door so that he could feel the heat. We reported the incident to the school director who forwarded the complaint the the regional director. Once their legal dept got involved, they decided there wasn't enough evidence to do anything? I wonder what evidence they needed other than my scared child describing the event on video? Needless to say, this teacher is still employed at this location and working with someones child. I feel like I need to get the work out and let people know what occurred. My son described in detail the series of events from how it hurt when she grabbed his wrist because she had long nails his teacher does have long nails, the way the oven opened like a refrigerator instead of like the oven we have at home, and even that he was scared when she made him open the door and he could feel the heat. I am not sure what my next steps will be, but I have contacted the local news stations and am doing my best to get the word out. Please be careful with you kids if you are looking at this location

I’ve scheduled a virtual tour to meet with the director today. I also get a reminder this morning for the virtual tour. However, I joined the online meeting on time and I’ve been waited for over 15 min, no one showed up.
